Controlling your momentum is the name of the game! Think about the Ocean. The ocean is relentless - it has a powerful momentum and there is nothing that you can do to stop it. Surfers position themselves in the wave. If they resist the wave, the wave flows right over them. If they paddle with the wave and find their momentum, the wave will give them a ride all the way to the shore! If you are up to speed with the wave and ready for the wave, you will be inspired to continue to get better and better at it. You may say that you got out there and you got beat up. You just weren't aligned with the wave. This is how deliberately creating your own reality is: are you picking the wave with the progressive people? Are you choosing the high-flyers or the low-riders? Choose what you want, then choose thoughts to line you up with the ride you want! It's a fun day on our 11 a.m. show today, favorite listeners! See you then. Love, Linny

*ATTENTION FELLOW NERDS* I am so VERY pleased to announce that none other than "Roland Kincaid" himself, actor Ken Sagoes, will be my guest Tuesday night on Nerd Wave Radio! Ken is a VERY accomplished actor and an amazing writer. He is known for many things but in my horror-fan world he is Roland Kincaid, resident badass of Westin Hills Asylum. Ken was the first African American actor/ character to survive an 80's slasher film and come back for a sequel. He has all the best lines in Nightmare on Elm street 3 and one of the COOLEST death scenes in the franchise in my opinion! These days Ken is hard at work in various writing projects and hundreds of hours of charity work. He truly is an amazing human being. I can't tell you what an honor this is for me.
This week's "Riding The Wave" features a Q&A with NYC Councilman Eric Ulrich, talking about the issues that most concern Rockaway. Ulrich discusses the Wounded Warriors project, the rise in gun violence and what to do about it, as well as the recently passed NYC budget and how it affects the peninsula.
Hosted by Mark Healey, the managing editor of The Wave, Rockaway's Newspaper since 1893.
