    Reflections From the Water's Edge, Happy Spring Rain With Mary E.

    Mary E., welcomes Craig Shaman, Athletic Director for Michigan City Area Schools. Tonight's show will highlight Spring sports with MCHS, and other up and coming events. In addition to the weekly sports focus, Mary E., will recap all the amazing things happening in the, City By The Lake. Tonight's music is being provided by Johnny V. Check out Johnny's newest release and enjoy tonight's featured song, "Rain" from his album titled Wood Chips. You can catch Johnny V, every Tuesday night at Ryan's Irish Pub on Franklin St. and 4th Ave. 


    Special thanks to Jim St. James for continuing to bring amazing music to not only ArtSees Diner Radio, but people from Northwest Indiana to the Florida Keys to Phoenix and back home again. 


    Steve and Mary E., are celebrating the recent news that they were named "Best Acoustic Duo" for 2015, by the Kankakee Area Music Awards. 


    We will also feature a little gastronomical celebration by sharing our recent experience at Galveston Steak House and Maxine's French restaurant, two of the Michigan City favorite restaurants.

    Reflections From the Water's Edge brings you news and updates from Michigan City with a focus on Michigan City High School athetics, compliments of Craig Shaman, MCAS, Athletic Director. 


    This week Mary E., welcomes basketball stand-out Michal Miller. Michal recently signed with Arizona Wildcats for a full ride scholarship! Miller is a Senior at Michigan City High School, Michigan City Indiana. She is one of 12 children and has always had a dream of being an outstanding ball player. 


    We will also be talking about Boy's Varsity Basketball under the direction of Head Basketball coach John Boyd and Assistant Basketball coach Andrew Eubank. 


    We will have our weekly feature "Hey Michigan City What's Cooking!"


    Our featured musician is Johnny V., who is celebrating the release of his brand new album!

    Tonight, Mary E. welcomes Coach Andrew Eubank, Assistant Boy's Varsity basketball coach. We will get the full run down on Sectional action taking place this week. We will also do a full run down of all the happening action going on in the City this week. 


    Andrew Eubank: This is Coach Eubank's 10th year as a high school basketball assistant coach. He has coached at Logansport HS (his alma mater) for three years, West Lafayette HS for one year, Frontier HS for two years and one year at Penn HS. He teaches Health, Physical Education and Credit Recovery "e-learning" at Michigan City High School.

    Recoding Artist March to May

    Darren Guyaz and Beth Wesche has created their own version of Americana and folk in their collaboration March to May. 


    The Seattle based duo uses everything from guitar to celtic harp for a rich traditional sound and have found success quickly. The two have traveled the world on their own and have used their experiences to write compelling songs.


    We will talk to the duo about their new release "The Water’s Edge" and the roots of their msuic.

    Reflections from the Water's Edge is the newest weekly broadcast featuring the people, places and happenings of the City By the Lake, Michigan City Indiana. Tonight's broadcast welcomes Craig Shaman, the newly appointed Athletic Director of Michigan City Area Schools. 


    Also joining the show is Alicia Ebaugh Assistant Director and Producer  of Anne Of Green Gables. Ken Siegfried who plays the part of Matthew Cuthbert. Cast member Sarah Wermuth. 


    Tickets to “Anne of Green Gables” are $12 for adults – $10 on Thursdays – for ages 12 and under. Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays.


    Doors open 45 minutes prior to curtain. Reservations will be held until 15 minutes prior to curtain unless secured by the presentation of a Footlight Season Gift Card or by prior payment in full. Reservations are recommended and may be made by calling 219-874-4035 or at www.footlightplayers.org. A 2-for-1 coupon is available for opening night on the website.


    Footlight will also play host to a one-man retelling of “A Christmas Carol” by Grant Fitch, a professional storyteller and award-winning regional actor, at 6:30 pm Dec. 7. In 90 minutes, he plays all the characters you're familiar with, and some you may have never seen - more than 30 in all, each one distinct in this fast-paced adaptation. All tickets are $10.

    The newest chef on the block Erik Tannehill is a pragmatic chef from Michigan City area. Currently turning a kitchen in the Pines Lounge into one of the tastiest places to dine in LaPorte County. Tune in to find out "What's Cooking Michigan City!"


    Also joining Mary E., is Herb Higgin and Sherri Silcox, to talk with us about United Way LaPorte and how it impacts Michigan City Area Schools and our After School Program, Safe Harbor.
