Join us today @8:30AM as we catch up with title challenger Roya Darvishian, who will clash with Ashley Samples THIS Saturday night in Macon at Conflict 26!
Darvishian won the RFS title and defended it in 2014, snagging a Fight Lab title and wrestling the TOC crown from Charity Walker along the way. Roya is a smart and dangerous opponent, with five round level cardio and submission skills that are nothing short of game changing inside the cage. Having also faced a wealth of talent, Darvishian is no doubt a legit champion.
There are 20 fights between Samples and Darvishian, and together they have faced nearly every emerging star in our area (and farther). Half of these fights have been for a title, and together they hold seven exciting finishes. Darvishian is a true champion with a very bright future ahead of her inside the cage and out, and this fight is yet another challenge that she faces with unmatched tenacity.
Don’t miss Samples Vs Darvishian for the Conflict Strawweight title on April 4th at the Macon Auditorium as part of Conflict 26! You can keep up with all the news and action right here or on Facebook with War of the Words!
Next up on my Filmmakers Series is Phil Falcone and John De Meo, who co-produced and wrote the film Joe’s War. The movie also marks the directing debut of Falcone. Premiered at the Garden State Film Festival, Joe’s War is the compelling story of Joe Caruso, a young Marine who attempts to return to his previous life upon returning home from the War on Terror. Watch the trailer here. The movie vividly depicts the daily struggles of facing up to and dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and the devastating effects on family and friends. Upon his return home, now former Marine Sergeant Caruso attempts to seamlessly fall back into his routine with the help of his family and friends, all the while coping with his life changing overseas battle. Joe continues on a downward spiral, and in an attempt to regain control of his life, he enlists the help of some new friends and the aid of a therapist played by Armand Assante. Joe's War presents a realistic view of life with PTSD, and the film has many scenes that are difficult to watch. PTSD isn’t exclusive to the military; individuals with other mental illnesses are at higher risk, and women are twice as likely to develop PTSD than men. Approx 55% of US military personnel returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan seek health care services from the VA. In 2013, the VA spent about $600 million for PSTD treatment. Even though veterans are only 7% of the population, they account for 20% of suicides. And this needs to stop now. After the interview, please check After Hours at Jersey Coastal Live for more info.

The End time Wars Psa 83 Ezek. 38 -39 ISA. 17
With so much happening concerning events in the Middle East right now, and the current crises involving Russia [Gog/Magog], I felt it would be beneficial to offer a thread with a series of teachings upon this VERY PERTINENT BIBLE PROPHECY.
When would the Rapture occur in reference to the Psalm 83 War?

We have been teasing for months about bringing spoken word to The Neo Soul Show. Well, the wait is over!! This Wednesday we welcome Naki Akrobettoe to the show.
Granddaughter of Ghanaian royalty and an American coal miner, Naki Akrobettoe born and raised in Columbus, Ohio began her love of poetry and performance at the age of 12. Intrigued by the natural flow of expression, she studied historic writers such as Phyllis Wheatley, Langston Hughes, Toi Derricote, and many more. While in her freshman year at The University of Toledo she was introduced to her mentor Rane Arroyo. Under his teaching Naki found her voice and quickly became a highly requested artist, impacting not only the campus, but taking the community by storm.
They say that music is poetry in motion. Join the Q-man and T. Mitch as we set sail in a new direction. The open mic begins!!
