On Tuesday, November 5th, NJ voters will be asked to vote on a minimum wage increase, which will not only become law but a NJ State Constitutional Amendment.
While proponents of the minimum wage increase profess to be helping out those most in need, they refuse to look to the facts and figures that point to the completely opposite direction.
Joining us as we discuss the implications of an amendment to our NJ State Constitution and the harsh economic realities of a mandated wage increase is Matt Rooney founder of the Save Jersey blog.
We will also expose the myth of who the minimum wage earner really is; who will be hit the hardest by this increase; how the job market will be affected; how poverty will be affected and impact on the economic competitiveness of NJ.

Becoming better than you are is hard. It takes longer than we expect. It is harder than we imagined.
Easier to accept what we are and rationalize isn't it? Yes, our Lodges are crowded with what I call the initiated diaspora- men who came to the door of freemasonry unaware of the daunting challenges, the risks, the potential for failure.
To ease my burden, could that I would abandon my brother. Being a man of some conscience I cannot. It would be wreckless to think there is a task for me that is part of my development; mentoring him toward the enlightenment.
If the tasks were easy, we would not be initiated. They are purposeful challenges. To discovered what is that purpose, is part of what brings meaning to a life.
Weak willed masons are the fodder that distracts us. Perhaps better for the effort; without petty distraction, bickering whinging, without question we would be focused on growing the ideas of freemasonry. Oh my goodness; a focus on theology, philosophy; we would be well on. Today, humiltity has morphed into self-consciousness that requires a great suppression of facts.
We have a confusing mixture of chain-of-command and self-directed learning that needs our collective attention gentlemen. Stepping onto the level, is horizontal not lateral.
After 156 years, we are barely able to best our betters the citizens ready to take to the parapits at the hinted enhancement of ceremony.
Why doesn't the look and presence of the Craft echo the uniqueness of Arts, History, Science and Philosophy? Where oh where have the antiquaries gone.
Discovere the Grand Lodge Temple. It does exist. Marble, bronze, powerful, beautiful, of another time, of another place. The imagination teases us by leaving it right there- its worth a trip to Germelshausen but don't take my word.
...wishing, wanting, believing, creation.
Tonight, we will be discussing spiritual and emotional ranges because we are fast approaching the Holiday season. We know this is the time of year when most people suffer depression of some kind. Statistics show us this is the time of the year most suicides and homicides occur. So, there is great need for the topic of the “Seven stages of Grief i.e. Death” to be discussed. Many of us do not have a faith base system or community to support us for whatever reason. Please, join us; it is a possibility you can lend a helping hand through these upcoming holidays. Please call: 347-308 8392
It is common for Adult Learners, including Student Veterans, to experience periods of low self-esteem and related depression. This is reflected in their attitude and the way they perceive themselves before and after tests and job interviews. Many persons with disability (i.e., emotional challenges, invisible/learning/mental disabilities) are even more susceptible to negative images of themselves. Holding onto negative self-images will result in making excuses to justify dropping-out. Dr. Applewhite, Host, and special guests share techniques for raising self-esteem and changing our attitudes towards self and our world. Listen to the episodes of the Student2Teacher ™ show any day of the week and see our schedule of LIVE shows by visiting the RADIO section at www.whiteappleinstitute.org . For many people, the idea of discussing deeply personal experiences and feelings with others seems pointless, childish, and simply ridiculous. We build a comfort zone within ourselves that often leaves us feeling scared, scarred, and helpless. Traumatic experiences can carry a wide variety of serious lifelong effects on our minds and bodies. Thankfully, there are passionate, caring, and experienced people like licensed professional counselor Delight Renken to help you and your loved ones through your own personal situations. In private practice for the last five years, Delight has helped individuals, couples, and families from all backgrounds through a wide variety of issues and obstacles. Delight’s impressive educational and professional background includes a Master’s in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio, experience with abuse survivors, the mentally ill, and working as an advocate for clients in various social service agencies.
At www.delightrenkencounseling.com, people can see all of the issues Delight works with that include mental health disorders, trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship issues, and family counseling to name a few. Delight utilizes a number of highly effective techniques and treatment modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Perhaps the most effective method incorporated by Delight is her approach to each session. “Everyone is unique. I aim to work with people in their particular story. People need to feel free and fearless in sharing and addressing their feelings and secrets with another person. I provide a very private place to release their demons and damaging experiences,” says Renken.
