Meet Patty Kogutek, author of “A Change of Habit: A Spiritual journey from sister Mary Kateri to Sister Mary Vodka” has helped thousands cure their anxiety, living “guilt-free”. Living as a Catholic nun for 7 years, and working her way through a 12 year failed marriage, Patty gathered “7 Secrets to Guilt-Free Living” that gave her the courage and the permission to finally follow her heart putting the expectation of others aside.
Although Patty has earned her doctorate degree in Educational Administration from the University of Southern California, she has learned her most valuable lessons through the “school of hard knocks” teaching her how to effectively protect her own happiness, living life on her own terms. You don’t have to be a former nun to have your happiness slip away.
Patty works with “women at risk” who try to please everyone, who have a difficult time saying “no”, and feel that they have to juggle life’s stresses taking care of everyone but themselves.
“I make a filet mignon at a pot roast price.” Tito Beveridge, founder and owner of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, wasn’t talking about steaks when he said this; he was talking about his double gold medal winning vodka. Wednesday, December 3rd at noon our Fall “Wet Your Whistle” series continues as the VP of Brand Marketing for Tito’s Vodka, Nicole Portwood, joins us. Learn how Tito’s has become THE vodka in its less than 20 year life span. It all started with Tito racking up 19 - yes, 19 - credit cards to the grand total of $88,000 in order to build a one man distillery and production still.
His gamble of creating the first legal distillery in Texas paid off, not only for him, but for vodka lovers everywhere.
We know that you want to learn more about how Tito became ‘the vodka guy’ and exactly what it is about this brand that makes it so darn good. So join us Wednesday, December 3rd at noon and find out!

We began the Show this week reviewing the 4th Step. As always - we want you to know that we are NOT Doctors, or Counselors, or Therapists, or Psychologists, etc...just individuals who work programs in recovery - living life on a "One day at a time" basis. We struggled to find a way to live our lives without all of the problems, hassles, challenges, etc... We found a way by working a 12 step program - TOGETHER! We welcome you to join in with us on our journey into a world of SOBER people - filled with ever improving SOBRIETY!
This is a LIVE call-in talk show and we are prepared to do our very best to share with each and every one of you - aspects of our own personal recovery from our addicitions in an HONEST AND OPEN MANNER. No Sugarcoating just real life discussions filled with valuable and informative information that you can use to overcome your addicition or help direct those you know with addicitions to find help and HOPE.
Our Show is LIVE from 7 to 9 PM CST EVERY SUNDAY EVENING! Our call-in number is 323-580-5755, and we welcome any and all comments, questions and requests. Wish to drop us a line during the week? Email me at email@example.com and I will do my best to respond in an appropriate manner as well.
Remember we are going to delve deeper into working the 4th Step over these next few weeks. You won't wanna miss out on these invaluble conversations/workshops.
...a seemingly SIMPLE Step become such a burdensome task - and why is it necessary in order to advance ourselves into the program of recovery...For some - possibly even most of us - drinking or drugging was our way of avoiding facing the person we felt we had become. We knew that we were Liars, Thieves, Cheaters, and the list went on and on. We had a hard time liking ourselves thus believeing that others couldn't or wouldn't either if they knew who we really were. This is not a step that should be taken likely as it can put you on the healthiest path of recovery - provided that you are RIGOROUSLY HONEST AND TRULY FEARLESS! Now this step is NOT ALL ABOUT OUR BAD TRAITS / THOUGHTS or DEEDS. It does involve us taking a thorough look at our good traits as well, something that we most probably haven't done in years either. This is DEFINITELY where having a Sponsor comes in Handy / and is a NECESSITY. Don't allow yourself to go at it alone...
Join me/us Sunday September 27th, from 7 to 9 PM CST as we take a in depth look at this 4th Step and the actions we need to take to accomplish the task of a GOOD HOUSE CLEANING. I/We are NOT Doctors, or Therapists, or Counselors however we have walked the road of Heartache and Hardship caught up in our addictions and what we have done to face this task and walk into it and grow.
Our show is a LIVE BROADCAST - and we welcome callers to share their own thoughts, comments, ideas, stories, even criticisms if there are any. Our call-in number is 323-580-5755 and again we encourage you to tune in and join us as we walk the road of recovery ONE-DAY- AT-A-TIME!
... How was / is it for YOU? "Turn our will and our lives over to the care of GOD as we understand HIM" Thats so funny because when I first entered the program of recovery - "I" did NOT understand GOD or HIS Plans for me. I was convinced that I was doomed - going to Hell in a Handbag, and there was NO HOPE for me. I was raised a Catholic - and along with my Catholic upbringing - I grew up filled with GUILT. Many individuals like myself - consider ourselves - RECOVERING CATHOLICS as we work to let go of the Guilt that I learned to Associate my self with on almost a daily basis....
Please remember - we are NOT Doctors, Counselors, Therapists, etc...We ARE Real inidividuals working programs that help keep us free from the chains that used to bind us and keep us lost within ourselves. We found recovery and we work whatever it takes to get and stay SOBER.PLUS - it is NOT ENOUGH to just get SOBER. We want the best that life has to offer, thus we work to improve the quality of life we live sober - thus SOBRIETY IS IMPORTANT to us.
Join us weekly as we explore different approaches to this same goal, the BEST LIFE THAT WE CAN ATTAIN & MAINTAIN without regressing back into a state of intoxication. How do we do it? Tune in or call in at 323-580-5755 Sunday evenings, from 7 to 9 PM. We look forward to your comments, questions, personal stories that you have to share. Always remember to share your story , from the heart and often. Need help during the week? Call me at 1-800-427-5968 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Why not enjoy ALL Life has to offer...We can help you achieve this goal.
...Joe & Steve return once again to share their own personal experience, strength, & Hope. Hosting this program can get a bit challenging when I am the only one talking. Having these 2 guys here next to me, offers me and my audience, the opportunity to hear from others, what recovery menas to them, and how working a 12 step program in their lives, positively affects them and those around them.
We are not Counselors, Doctors, or Therapists. Just individuals that work a program in Recovery - willing to share our experiences, good and bad in order to help others, while helping oursleves. This is a LIVE - CALL-IN Talk Show - offering you the listener the opportunity to ask questions, share comments, or just listen and learn from the mouths of those in Recovery. The Number is 323-580-5755 - as the show runs from 7 to 9 PM CST (Central Standard Time).
