Storyshucker Stu Perkins on Tell Me a Story – no need to pinch yourself, it is actually happening today, Friday, August 28th. We have tried a couple of times but the 3rd time has indeed been the charm for us here at The Magic Happens Radio Network. Visiting Stu’s blog, Storyshucker, and reading his tales is like taking a step back in time to when people took priority over popularity and family was the ‘inter-net’ where you learned everything. Oh, and that blog address is http://www.storyshucker.wordpress.com so be sure to head over and catch up the archives and see what heart-warming story has been shucked of late. Also, keep an eye open for a brand new Chicken Soup for the Soul book, Volunteering and Giving Back, because Stu Perkins is one the contributing writers. I am so glad to have as my guest one of our Distinguished Contributing Authors, Jason Hunt !
As if the title wasn't warning enough, we are going to talk about our Faith and how we believe God does call us to Prepare and what is lacking in the denominational church when it comes to helping others hear that call to prepare.
Jason Hunt is the owner of Campcraft, LLC a survival outfitter and outdoor ministry located in Kentucky where he leads classes in wilderness survival, preparedness and wilderness medicine. He is also an instructor at The Pathfinder School and television host for both “Pathfinder TV” and “Campcraft with Jason Hunt”. You can learn more by visiting his website at www.campcraft.us
Jason grew up in the outdoors of Southern Indiana engaging almost daily in what nature provided as a playground, but it wasn't until after a ten year stint as a pastor that he felt God call him back into the woods for what would be perhaps the greatest adventure of his life. Jason first received his training in survival from civilian and military experts by way of his martial arts experience which spans thirty years. Jason is the author of The End Times Christian and is host of the weekly television series Campcraft airing in Louisville, Kentucky.

She co-starred with Gregory Porter and Eloise Laws in "It Ain't Nothing But the Blues" and has traveled the world with the touring company of "Smokey Joe's Cafe." And she has a release party coming in her stomping grounds soon - let's celebrate in the first hour of the show :)
In the third hour, Wayne Jones drops by! He might not stay long because he's covering a LOT of territory while he's in the States. In Australia, he is known as one of the mightiest session bassists of all time! He's also a songwriter and arranger and master clinician. For over three decades, Wayne has gifted other musicians with the beauty of that fluid, funky and fearless bass. With his years of studio work - and his TV/film credits - Wayne thought it was time to release another body of work to feed the Jones-hungry crowd who demanded it. There are five tracks on "Mr. Jones" - but those are filled with the greatness of Wayne's bass and guests: Rick Braun, Mike MacArthur and Philippe Saisse! He'll be with Mike on the last Sunday in August - in Clearwater, Florida. But he found the time beforehand to visit with us! There is so much wonderful music to share - join us in The Chat Room and let's enjoy it together!
