Matt braved a run against GOP Senate Mjority Leader Mitch McConnell as the Conservative GOP option in the primary. Not to be deterred in his desire to serve the people, Matt is running for Governor.
Matt's plan includes what all our states in America need:
1 ENACTING PRO-BUSINESS “RIGHT TO WORK” LEGISLATION
2 MODERNIZING TAX CODE
3 RESOLVING PENSION CRISIS
4 REFORMING GOVERNMENT
5 MODERNIZING EDUCATION SYSTEM
6 IMPROVING HEALTHCARE
7 FIGHTING FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OVERREACH
Matt is also fight against Kynect, his state's version of Obamacare.
Matt is the only candidate in the race who is calling to get rid of Kynect. Like other states the citizens can't afford it, yet the other candidates seem to think the people ought to keep it because it is already there.
About our guest: Matt attended Washington and Lee University in Virginia with a four-year ROTC scholarship. Upon graduation in 1989, Matt was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army, ultimately rising to the rank of Captain spending four years on active duty. After his military service, Matt worked for many years in the financial industry. Matt founded several local firms and invested in a number of other companies. These companies range from manufacturing to investment management to medical devices. They employ dozens of people and annually provide millions of dollars in payroll and benefits to hard working Americans.

Romans 15: 5
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unityamong yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus,
Run the Christian Race with Endurance
The only way we can abide in His presence is by means of His cleansing blood.
Helen Lemmel's hymn says it so beautifully:
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full into His wonderful face;
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace.
When you are running the race of life you don't have time to look around. You have to keep your eyes focused on Jesus.Jesus Christ is the "author and perfecter of our faith." No one or anything else will do. He is the Beginning and the End. "For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus" (Philippians 1:6).
When you keep your eyes on yourself you will become spiritually weary and discouraged.

'TWAS mercy brought me from my Pagan land,
Taught my benighted soul to understand
That there's a God, that there's a Saviour too:
Once I redemption neither sought now knew,
Some view our sable race with scornful eye,
'Their colour is a diabolic die.'
Remember, Christians, Negroes, black as Cain,
May be refin'd, and join th' angelic train.
Phillis Wheatley was the first black poet in America to publish a book. She was born on May 8, 1753 in West Africa and brought to New England in 1761, where John Wheatley of Boston purchased her as a gift for his wife. Although they brought her into the household as a slave, the Wheatleys took a great interest in Phillis’s education. Many biographers have pointed to her precocity; Wheatley learned to read and write English by the age of nine, and she became familiar with Latin, Greek, the Bible, and selected classics at an early age. She began writing poetry at thirteen.
