Kim Davis in Jail: Where do YOU stand?

    in Politics Conservative

It's Not About Right and Left. It's About Right and Wrong!

Well, it's over -- or it's just begun. Kim Davis is in jail for refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples. Is this about religious liberty? Not on your life. It's about the rule of law. And when it comes to the rule of law, Kim Davis is dead-on RIGHT.

Where do each of the Presidential hopefuls stand on Kim Davis? Which believe in the rule of law and which are judicial supremecists? We'll talk about that.

Where do YOU stand? Call and participate tonight (Friday 9/4) at 7PM Missouri Time. Blog Talk Radio featured host Dave and the Sloan Ranger Lloyd will explore the issues with you. The call-in number is, as always, 347-677-1835.

  • Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) - 1175

    in Self Help

Tonight's special guest is Reverend Larry Ross from Gerald, Missouri, Vice President of "Knights for the Innocent" and National Chaplain and the Founder of the "Pay it Forward" TV channel ministry on You Tube. Larry grew in a single parent home with a drunk abusive father and 2 little brothers after his mother took off. "Dad was always angry and drunk when not at work and would beat us at the drop of a hat," he says. "I remember him beating my Mom so bad that I grabbed his 22. cal revolver and made him stop." The years of sexual abuse he experienced came from a man his Dad and Mom knew. "They made us call him 'Uncle Don'." At around 13 he discovered the world of drugs and drinking. One evening his Dad started to beat on his littlest brother. "I just snapped, breaking his noise and eye socket and hitting him over and over until I thought he was dead. I jumped up and ran down to Dixie's apartment, who is now my wife." At this point they've been together 29 years. She had two young children who'd been sexually abused by her ex-husband. "I know God put me in their house to be their protector," Larry says. It took a while but he got himself on a better path. "I didn't even really look for God," says Larry, "he found me after I spent my life doing drugs drinking and selling weed." Tragedy in his family didn't stop him. "It's all cogs on a wheel that God has planned for my life because now I get the honor of standing up for those too afraid to reach out and ask for help themselves."

Life in New York: How I Learned to Love Squeegee Men, Token Suckers, Trash Twisters and Subway Sharks ~

Laura Pedersen, author of bestseller Play Money and award-winning Buffalo Gal, serves up a hilarious memoir about three decades of city life. Originally from Buffalo, New York, friends thought the seventeen-year-old was suffering from blizzard delirium when she left for Manhattan. Pedersen experiences her adopted city in the best and worst of times while becoming the youngest person to have a seat on the stock exchange, performing stand-up comedy, and writing a column in the New York Times. Neighborhoods that feature chai bars, Pilates studios, and Gymboree were once drug dens, ganglands, and shantytowns. A trip to Central Park often ended in Central Booking, identifying a perp in a lineup.

New Yorkers are as diverse as the city they so colorfully inhabit, cautious but generous, brash but welcoming. Both are captured through the comedic eye of Pedersen. Enjoy an uproarious romp down memory lane as the city emerges as the modern metropolis we know today.

Laura Pedersen is an author, humorist, and playwright. She was also the youngest person at age twenty to have a seat on the American Stock Exchange, while earning a finance degree at New York University's Stern School of Business. She wrote for The New York Times and is the author of Play Money, Beginner's Luck (chosen as a Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers selection), Planes Trains, and Auto-Rickshaws, Buffalo Gal and Buffalo Unbound.

So I'm still bowled over, like 10 pins on a bowling lane, with the ball coming straight down the middle with the potential of TWO STRIKES or THREE, the lane the bowl is coming down, and the two lanes adjacent to the lane, on the news that ROBERT REDWINE is in the batter's box.  He must have some RUSTY MENS high up on the political ladder, because I never thought REDWINE could make it back - to DEAD MAN'S CURVE - "Jan & Dean" (look it up on google, it's a song) - I didn't think REDWINE could up periscope until the PRIMARY for the presidential spill in 2016.  October 2015 is the target date, so people are sitting at the end of their seats, awaiting the return.  Let's just hope there isn't a last minute cancel, with the message - GONE FISHING.  Oh well, it's a wait and see.  347-205-9366 - By the way it's FRIDAY ya'll - let your hair down, and if don't have any hair - call Donald Trump, he'll show you how.  347-205-9366.
