married with 2 boys. Holistic therapist and naturopath.
Anna comes from the rolling hills of the Devon countryside and has been a holistic therapist for the last decade or more. Having first qualified to teach yoga over 12 years ago she branched out further adding hypnotherapy and past life regression. After years of hypnotising clients or working with just one therapy, it became clear that a one size fits all approach was not actually working for most people and she began to combine therapies to seek unique solutions. In 2011 Anna was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, a chronic condition with no real cure or treatment. Her therapy work became even more important and she decided to resign from her role in schools and concentrate full time on therapy and healing. Two therapists that she visited both hinted at a healing role in her past lives, and that they both felt this was now her true calling. Completely addicted to studying, further areas were added, from meditation to angel healing, reiki to NLP and even EFT, and the Holistic Alchemist was born. It has become Anna’s life work to combine therapies, to create unique solutions. One of the biggest stumbling blocks to a lot of alternative therapies is the cost, so Anna made the decision to remain affordable for all, allowing everyone to access and try the things that might just help. Due to the time constraints Anna found there were more clients than time, so has been working on several self help courses and books that can be access anytime. Her first course and book, a beginners guide to Meditation have recently been released, and there are 10 more in the pipeline. Anna has used herself as a guinea pig and managed to free herself from a lot of the symptoms of Fibromyalgia that are so draining. Anna is a mother of 2 and has a passion for dogs, living with 5 chihuahuas,.

Due to the outbreak of Ebola virus disease in West Africa, Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson has announced his decision to designate Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months. As a result, eligible nationals of Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone who are currently residing in the United States may apply for TPS with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). .To be eligible for TPS, applicants must demonstrate that they satisfy all eligibility criteria, including that they have been “continuously residing” in the United States since Nov. 20, 2014 and “continuously physically present in” the United States since Nov. 21, 2014. Applicants also undergo thorough security checks. Individuals with certain criminal records or who pose a threat to national security are not eligible for TPS. Liberians currently covered under the two-year extension of Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) based on may apply for TPS. If they do not apply for TPS within the initial 180-day registration period, they risk being ineligible for TPS because they will have missed the initial registration period. Liberians covered by DED who already possess or have applied for an EAD do not need to also apply for one related to this TPS designation. However, such individuals who are granted TPS may request a TPS-related EAD at a later date as long as the TPS designation for Liberia remains in effect.

“I was born in Paris and at the age of 19 moved to Taos, New Mexico, where I started learning jewellery making from Navajo, Hopi and Zuni silversmiths. Seven years later I moved to Mali, West Africa where I studied with Touareg and Bambara jewellers for several years.
I then established myself in Montreal where I joined a jewellery school to learn a more classical view of the trade. Since my arrival there I have been making jewellery and selling it in galleries and shows throughout Canada and the United States. For the past seven years I have been teaching jewellery at a professional school.
For many years now, I have been working to give back to the West African jewellers who taught me and have given me so much. One of the ways I have been doing this is through a teaching collaboration. I have been filming old techniques in Guinea, Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso and then creating a course from those videos. I offer these classes in Montreal and split the proceeds with the African jeweller. The revenue created by this equitable collaboration is leading to formidable changes in the lives of these wonderful and skilful jewellers.
I have also been giving many conferences on West African jewellers, their techniques and their day-to-day lives. My hope is to open a jewellery school in Guinea in the near future.”
