Unfortunately, one of the most overlooked and devalued groups of people are those with disabilities. In the USA, the most progressive country in the world, there is still great disparity in the treatment and access to school and work opportunities for differently-abled persons, especially those with non-visible and mental disabilities. We can openly discuss the disparity by our willingness to consider the potential of genius within every human being, regardless of the level of their abilities. Our special guest is Dr. Will Moreland, a military veteran and author of the critically acclaimed book Genius Potential. He is known as America's #1 Leadership Life Trainer and appears frequently on national television shows to share his insights on leadership, personal development and current events. Your donation of at least $5 or more will support our radio broadcasts, and allow us to continue helping Adult Learners/Students and Veterans with disabilities reach their education and workforce goals? Memorial Day Special Rebroadcast
Despite downward trends in unemployment across the country, veterans who served during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars still have difficulty finding work. About one in 11 of them 9% were jobless in 2013. Analysts say finding work is toughest on those who served on the front lines: infantry. A key problem for these veterans is resume preparation, and tailoring them to the jobs they are seeking.
Aaron Glover, Transition Patient Advocate with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs will share his insights and best practices working with veterans.
Memorial Day meaning? What's causing all these suicides among our returning veterans? Betty has figured it out; listen in as she explains it to the world. Assignment tells the stories of America, from history, military, politics, social and economic, to entertainment - the things you never thought about to the trivia you never knew.
SPECIAL EDITION - THE latenight GRIPE SHOW
So you say you have a disability, yeah me too! All I can say is so what, sure it sucks and lots of things are not fair. We still must live life. It comes down to what we are going to do with our life. I have spent years bumbling around since I acquired my brain injury. I did everything out of order, I got some of the worst help you could imagine. By the time I understood what was happening my whole life was gone. Almost everyone I ever loved was gone. My life was in ashes.
But again so what. All I can do is kick my own ass for my part in this. But now I am ready to live a life that I value. One that fits what I want. Ready to open myself up for those relationships that make life worth living. Do the things that my heart tells me. It is going to be different than before because I am a different person. But you know what it is going to be better, I am going to love deeper, care more and laugh harder. Everything I have been through living with my disability is part of what makes me great.
Join in tonight gripe away maybe some tough love thoughts can help you, maybe not but at least we can share, complain our heart out and have a good laugh doing it. YOU KNOW YOU WANNA JOIN SO DO
If you would like to pay tribute to a member of your family or a friend that served in the military and is now deceased, you are welcome to call
in to the show and express your feelings, your memories and your respect. This will not be a talk show, In fact there will be little actually
heard until someone calls in to make a tribute. Let's remember what Memorial Day is about. Honoring our war heroes who have made the ulitimate sacrifice and all other veterans that have defended our constitution.

The Early Bird Midnight Special! - Dream Catcher - Les Paul
At 22 Years of age I was young and pre TBI. I was feeling very heathy and taking on the future like on like a Mad Man on a mission when an AVM in my brain that had been hiding quietly erupted like a violent Volcano in my Brain from Birth struck from deep within my Brain as fast as lightning as I Screamed for help collapsing to the cement floor of the Factory that I worked as the fire of the explosive Aneurism in my brain hit me with blunt and brutal Fury from deep within my Skull with murderous intent!
I had visons of both being a professional Moto Cross Racer and a singer song writer musician and yet there I was screaming in pain like never before fighting for my very existence. The Good News is I am still here alive and kick wiring many permeant battle scars and even though I had several more surgeries all over my brain I have lived long enough to be thankful for all the pain and even can say I feel blessed. How about you do you feel week tired and angry or do you view life through a different lens that say no matter what keep on moving and fight not only for your own Independence but as a freedom Fighter for Justus and good for all people with disabilities.
Tonight I’m calling my show the Midnight early Bird Special because in my mind I say it’s time to celebrate success and heck even failure if you dare to believe in your Dreams because failure is just another word for survivors who are inspired to go back jack and do it again and again until we find out yes indeed life is good and worth living if you only give you self a chance and fight for the future with all the gusto you can muster up!!!
We will Talk and chat tonight so be ready to share your stories and listen to some great Indi music because and life is good and well worth living here at Dream Catchers a place where people come to listen, Learn, talk, and feel like part of the community again!
