US Military Maintenance is a business that trains US veterans to start a commercial maintenance business and to succeed at doing so. It is a program of Patriotic Hearts, a 501c3 non-profit for US military, veterans and their families. The founder, Mark Baird, and the National Director, Ethan Perez will be talking about this program and sharing the details this Tuesday at 11 AM on Friends of Veterans radio.
US veterans from across America have already started their own US Military Maintenance businesses. If you are an entrepreneurial spirit, or a US veteran who is tired of looking for a job, listen in Tuesday at 11 AM. Both Mark and Ethan have built janitorial businesses from scratch and made hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.
If you choose to join the USMM team, everything you need, apart from your equipment, license and insurance are provided.

The legendary “Horse Whisperer,” Monty Roberts, is running free, resilience-building workshops for veterans and their families. The three-day program involves working closely with horses. The individuals and horses develop a special bond built upon mutual trust and respect. Join-Up offers everyone an effective tool to rediscover themselves through the eyes of the horse. This self-awareness exercise deals effectively with emotional trauma, anti-social behavior and withdrawal, anger, stress, combat stress and even Post Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI).
Roberts holds two Ph.D.s in Behavioral Sciences. In these workshops, he demonstrates the deeply healing power of establishing a trusting relationship with horses without the use of force. With his soft-spoken, nurturing style, Roberts assists veterans as they learn to cause a partnership with the horse. After three transformational days, veterans can better understand how to control their anger, confront painful memories, cope with real-life situations and move on with their lives and relationships. situations and move on with their lives and relationships.
We have been working with veterans suffering from PTSI, over the course of five separate recent clinics this year. The results are coming in, and the outcome is fantastic. We have people laughing and getting back to a normal life who have been afflicted with PTSI for upwards of 35 years.
All the way from Vietnam to Afghanistan, these injured warriors come home in a terrible state and need our help to reconnect with their communities. The horses are doing their work with incredible efficiency. Individuals are welcome to bring a spouse/significant other to attend the workshop with them. Contact email@example.com.

It seems like everyday brings something new to make heads shake. Special guest David Lowe, insurance exective and owner of Lowe's Rehabilitation Services, will share some light on what to expect from Obama's namesake gift to America that just keeps on giving. The topic of the day is ObamaCare! Without ObamaCare, she says that getting the medicine would not be possible for her. Listen to her testominial and then YOU can decide (or have more information to make a decision) once and for all if ObamaCare (Obama Care) is good for America or not.
* Episode Features*
- A real testominial (honest and not a "paid" review of any kind) from guest speaker, Connie, about how ObamaCare is allowing her to get medicine that she otherwise could not obtain.
This was Disabled Veterans Radio Broadcast from March 3, 2015 from 4pm to 6pm on WWPR AM 1490 in Bradenton, Florida. In these two hours I play some current up to date music. We still inform you that thousands of Disabled Veterans were still misdagnosed with personality disorder which made Us miss out on VA Benefits for years. In the second hour I play more classic rock with the focus on Fully Compensating Disabled Veterans for the misdagnoses and I talk about calling your Congress or Senate Person to tell them to get off their ass and pass HR 975 The Mental Health Review Act. Please help keep Disabled Veteran Radio on the air log ino http://billapgar.com
The rise of the lunatic asylum and its gradual transformation into, and eventual replacement by, the modern psychiatric hospital, explains the rise of organized, institutional psychiatry. While there were earlier institutions that housed the 'insane,' the arrival at the answer of institutionalisation as the correct solution to the problem of madness was very much an event of the nineteenth century.
To illustrate this with one regional example, in England at the beginning of the nineteenth century there were, perhaps, a few thousand "lunatics" housed in a variety of disparate institutions but by 1900 that figure had grown to about 100,000. That this growth should coincide with the growth of alienism, now known as psychiatry, as a medical specialism is not coincidental.:14
