    LIVE! with Cathi---Veterans Day SALUTE!

    in Fitness

November 11th is VETERANS DAY, not to be confused with MEMORIAL DAY.

MEMORIAL DAY  is a time to honor and remember all of those who have died in combat, or as a result of injury sustained in combat.

VETERANS DAY is a time to honor all of those who have served or currently serve in the Armed Forces.

Most communities hold parades and other events to celebrate the sacrifice and dedication of these individuals.  There are many ways to honor veterans in a more personal, interactive way.  In addition to risking their lives during time of war, members of the Armed Forces sacrifice normal day to day life with friends and family.  Why not honor them this year in a more personal way and provide encouragement, express gratitude and say THANK YOU!

All things are possible to them that believe,  I believe!

    Psalms 107:18-21
20  He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

    Proverbs 3:16
Blessed is the man that finds wisdom because length of days is in her right hand and riches and honor in her left hand.

    2 Peter 1:2-7
3  ... His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,  4  by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Veterans Day - General Stephen Sanders

    in Military

Retired General Stephen Sanders is with us today to talk abut the true meaning of Veterans Day.  It is NOT about the stores having mega sales.  It IS about our awesome veterans, many of whom sacrificed their lives so we could live in a world of peace.

It is a day of remembrance, a day to honor our heroes.  Our veterans have risked their lives for us; they have made extraordinary sacrifices.  Today is a day to think abut what you can do to honor them and what you can do to support them and their families.

Hear about the resourcs, the veteran organizations and charities.  You can make a difference.  I'm proud to be an American; I'm proud of all who served.  It is our time to serve them!

    Veterans Day: Honoring our Veterans

    in Military

Joshua Rivers in to Discuss The battle Buddy Foundation Non-profit organization founded by combat veterans to serve veterans and their families and Paul E. Vallely, MG, U.S. Army (Ret.) stops by in honor of Veterans Day and discuss military life then and now. Lieutenant General (RET) Franklin L. Hagenbeck in to discuss his organizations work to reduce the 40% military unemployment rate. Joe pays tribute to our nation's military veterans.

Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately?

There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective.

Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting.

But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree!

If you’ve always wondered how the “other side” thinks and how they’ve arrived at their “stand”, then this is the show for you!

It’s not the right side, it’s not the wrong side, but the REAL side of the issues!

Veterans Day Special; Know What You've Earned

    in Health

Nakikia aka "MSKeepItMoving" is the Founder and President of 501 c 3 non profit organization K.I.M. (Keep It Moving) 4U, Inc. and is the host of the Keep It Moving Blog Talk Radio Show. She is also employed with the Department of Veteran Affairs as a Certified Medical Support Assistant and Patient Advocate Liaison.
This episode is dedicated to our Veterans.  Veterans are experiencing a lack of information on benefits and entitlements. Connecting Veterans with information about the benefits they are entitled to has been a continuous struggle for years. Information is key in any situation; it is specifically crucial to Veterans because they may not know who or where to turn.  It is time to amp up the delivery of information to our nation's Veterans and make it possible for them to enjoy the entitlements and benefits they have so bravely earned.

Join Nakikia "MSKeepItMoving" on The Keep It Moving Blog Talk Radio Show for the Veterans Day Special; Know What You've Earned with special guest Veterans Charissa Johnson, Chief of Fee Basis and Program Manager of Non VA Care Coordination with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as she helps us understand how other Veterans can obtain the benefits they've so rightly earned and Renee Sallee Doughty, CEO & Founder of Combat Boots to Makeup Brushes as she explains how she helps other women veterans go from pain to beauty.
