Bet on a Vet is a program dedicated to giving back to veterans and service members from all walks of life. These men and women have taken a vow to protect the lives and freedoms of Americans at the risk of thier own. Soldiers in the Army, Sailors in the Navy, Marines, Airmen in the Airforce and Coast Guard service members risk life and limb tp protect us; we need to pay homage to them in any way we can.
That is not where it stops. Families make the greatest sacrifices when a mom or dad, daughter or son, make that commitment and leave families behind to serve.
Today's program will be an introduction to a concept created to reciprocate. While the little I do to help them will never measure up to the sacrifices they have made and will make in the future, it is my way of saying thank you.
As this show progresses and grows it is my hope to visit with these men and women, thier families and all affected by our service. It is my intent to connect those who served with organization that will help them return to a sense of normalcy in life as civilians and even help those lifers deal with the issues that they face daily.
I will interview servicemen and women, officers and enlisted, families with servicemen serving abroad, those who have been injured physically and mentally and of course those who have lost loved ones in service of our nation.
I will ask for advertisers to promote services directed at these fine men and women. Mental and physical health professionals, charitable organizations and individuals who want to donate time and or money to a great cause. Any advertising revenue, after production costs will be donated to military charities yet to be determined. Additionally, I am creating a 501 C charity to better direct any charitable funds generated by this program.
Please join me in the celebration of our service men and women on "Bet on a Vet"
