Tell Your Friends!
For several months, I have been offering one on one private sessions, by phone or Skype, for a few listeners of Lost Arts Radio. We discuss how the special knowledge of health and consciousness, that we feature on our show, can be used in real life situations. I don’t give medical advice (or diagnose, treat, manage or cure and disease or condition – for those things or anything medical, see your health professional). I share my experience and research of the last 50 years, and many have found this very helpful. Now we offer something similar, to callers on our Saturday show. The interactions are shorter, as other callers are trying to get through, but I hope I can still share some information and perspectives with each of you that will help you in some way. This information is meant to be shared and used. Private sessions are limited in availability, but the show is freely accessible to everyone.

Healing Through Creativity
Hosted by Cheryl Green and Craig Sicilia
Creativity and time can heal all things. Even though it’s been almost 10 years, the first 3 or 4 being the darkest of all. Creativity kept me alive, kept me from letting the darkness of loss because of my disability after sustaining a brain injury. It gave me purpose, strength and carried me through many days and months and years.
There are many forms of creativity, and hope to have many share their arts, but some that I have worked with and all were an amazing benefit, but I had to explore many different types. And some of them worked at different times in my journey to today. Some of the ones I have used, have been, writing in the beginning I have written thousands of pages of material, and hope to come out with a book one day, I have 2 ready to go. But the books will change my life and how people think of me. Writing them not only helped me deal with the darkness I was going through but also the extreme darkness before my injury. Then it was on to writing music, forming a band, and then performing. And as suddenly as the music came several years later it left just as quickly. Then banner design through graphics, writing lessons and developing curriculum for schools, support groups and many others.
Other creative things like public service project, events like brain injury camp, hoopfest teams, gaming events all of which gave me purpose. Other forms of creativity are painting, sewing, pottery, yoga, movie making, crafts like jewelry making, poems, needle work, building things, destroying things. All help us deal with things and heal. All give us purpose.

At age six, Jon Saint-Germain decided he wanted to be a Wizard when he grew up. Today he is a professional psychic, rootworker, author and ecumenical minister. Jon is one-half Cherokee and has studied traditional Cherokee herbal medicine and magic. He has a long family tradition in Southern psychic arts, as his mother, grandmother, aunt and great-grandmother all were practicing psychics, and his grandfater was a skilled dowser or "water-witch." During the 1982 Knoxville World's Fair, he successfully solved the Rubik's Cube while blindfolded. Professor Erno Rubik thought this was the most amazing thing he had ever witnessed. The most common remark made during this time was "Heck, I can't solve it with my eyes OPEN!" He was the official palm reader for Obama's Inagural Ball and Women's Health Magazine's Chicago Expo, and is a popular guest on television and radio programs. He has even read palms over the radio! He also enjoys speaking for Civic clubs. His books -- Runic Palmistry, Karmic Palmistry and Love in the Palm of Your Hand are available in bookstores and from this website. Because of his eclectic knowledge of all things magical and psychic, he recently was retained as a consultant for a series of programs for the Learning Channel. In 2001, Jon was part of a scientific panel led by Dr. Gary Schwartz dedicated to examine the most important question ever asked: does human consciousness survive the death of the body? the results of this investigation are related in Dr. Schwartz's book The Afterlife Experiments. Jon practices what he preaches. Struggling with a lifelong eating disorder, he applied his mind power techniques to solving the riddle of why a person would consume food when he isn't really hungry. He found answers, and his weight dropped from over 300 pounds to 200 pounds in a year and a half.
On tonight's episode, we will discuss:

When Gallup and the Knight Foundation set out to answer the question “What attaches people to their communities?” they found that the key reasons cited by residents for loving their cities were entertainment and social offerings, how welcoming the city is and its aesthetics — in other words, the arts and culture. That finding was not news to Alderman Michael Scott, Jr., or his wife Natashee. The couple have been patrons of the arts for years. In an effort to build community and make North Lawndale a destination for arts and entertainment, the Scotts started the annual Westside Musical Festival, which will run again on August 20 2016.
Join Natashee and Michael Scott, Jr. as they share lessons learned in developing the festival. We will discuss ways the Westside Music Festival is being used to build community; develop a sense of place for North Lawndale and to spur economic development and tourism.

Join Suzane for The Suzane Northrop Show, which airs monthly on Blog Talk Radio. Each month Suzane interviews exciting guests in the field of spirituality and metaphysics, and offers live on-air readings for listeners.
This month, Suzane welcomes special guest, Austyn Wells.
Austyn Wells is a Spiritual Medium and Soul Gardener living in Los Angeles. She travels around the United States teaching, demonstrating, and sharing the joy of connecting with your loved ones in Spirit World.
Austyn has always been aware of Spirit. She began working as a professional intuitive in her twenties, working for such clients as The Four Seasons, Cosmo Girl, 7 For All Mankind, Universal Studios, Saatchi and Saatchi, as well as touring the U.S. with Toyota.
Her Mediumship blossomed one day in Baltimore. While on tour with Toyota, the spirit of a deceased father communicated through her to get a message to his grieving daughter. The experience was so profound that she has dedicated her life to this work. To be of service, she combines Mediumship with various elements: Shamanism, Hypnotherapy, Grief Counseling and Sacred Ceremony. Her goal is to help you center your soul so you can be present in and with your life.
Austyn teaches, speaks, demonstrates, and works with clients individually. She is a frequent guest Medium on internet radio shows across the country. She has been a repeat guest presenter and workshop leader for the Afterlife Awareness Conference.
Her ultimate goal is to create a college where the intuitive and healing arts can be taught, the history of this work and its pioneers can be celebrated and archived, and the curative potential of Mediumship can be explored and validated.
