SORT BY Relevancy
In today's society, we can get so overwhelmed by the problems and evil in the world that we become recluses, focusing only on the spiritual, and abiding only among those of great faith. We can rationalize our seclusion with our intense spiriitual, or vertical, focus. At the same time, we can engage so intensely in fighting against these problems and evil in the world that we forget to keep God in the picture, or our message of hope that goes with us. We can rationalize our shallow spiritual life with our engagement in serving mankind: Our horizontal focus.
Reverend Samuel Rodruiguez passionately delivers a message that helps us pinpoint our focus at the intersection of the Cross: Vertical and Horizontal. I think you'll be inspired and challenged by this message, and moved toward introspection about your approach to the Christian life in today's world! Hope you can join us. Be blessed.

What makes relationships work and last? The answer is God. Whether you are married or single having God as the third party in your relationship makes all the difference. Put God at the head of your relationship and everything else will fall into place. Listen to this teaching of "Vertical Love Life."
It's the 10th anniversary of Sideways, the book and movie that changed the wine world. Wine Muse hosts Linda Rez and William Pollard are honored to welcome Rex Pickett--iconoclastic author of the book.
The movie was nominated for 5 Academy Awards and won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay; it also won over 350 awards from critics. In 2011 Mr. Pickett published Vertical which continues the story of Miles and Jack as they embark on a roadtrip with Miles' mom, her nurse, and her dog through wine country and middle America. Vertical explores Miles' relationship with his mother and his coming to grips with her impending death.
Mr. Pickett recently adapted his novel Sideways for the stage. It sold out to audiences for six months when it was performed at the Ruskin Group Theater, and it then went on to break all attendance records at the La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego, where it was directed by Des McAnuff. The play is now heading to London's West End. He has a new book in the trilogy coming this fall, Sideways 3 Chile, you won't want to miss, which follows Miles' life and wine adventures in Chile.
