Background Checks and Verification of Protect Employers is our topic on The Core Business Show with Tim Jacquet. If you are a business owner, manager, or work in the human resources department of a company, you’ve probably hired employees who have been less than truthful on their resumes. In fact, recent studies indicate that 75 percent of all resumes contain some form of falsification and fully 89 percent are misleading.

We all know that in the world of Biometrics, it is primarily Fingerprint Recognition which is the predominant technology being used today to confirm the identity of a particular individual. There have been many advancements made out in this realm, with the technology getting smaller and smaller so that it can fit onto a Smarpthone, as well ultra fast algorithms for both template creation and verification/identification. In today's radio show, we have the pleasure to interview Mr. Philip Scarfo, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Lumidigm (which is also a division of HID Global). This company has pioneered the use of Fingerprint Recognition by developing a technology known as "Multispectral Imaging". With this breakthrough, not only can the unique features on the top of the surface of the fingerprint be extracted, but from the subsurface of the skin as well. In this interview, we learn more about this, and the features and benefits it presents to the market applications of Biometrics.
In the world of Biometrics today, much research and development is being given to what future technologies hold and possess. Once such potential technology which is receiving a lot of attention today is that of 'DNA Recognition'. This simply means having the ability to confirm or verify the identity of an individual based upon their own DNA. While this may hold great promise because the DNA is so rich and unique, it is still far off from being a viable technology, because of the sheer amount of time it takes to construct a DNA profile, and compare it. But, the use of DNA in general is getting a lot of interest in the Biometrics community, primarily for its forensics and latent advantages. In this radio show, we have the very unique opportunity to interview Mr. G. Scott Rulong, President of SmallPond, LLC. SmallPond is a leading DNA matching/profiling services company, and we learn first hand in more detail about the various applications of DNA profiling/matching, and how one day it could possibly fit into the family of Biometric technologies.
As we all know, Voice Recognition is starting to become an important Biometric technology. While it may not enjoy the "limelight" applications which Vein Pattern Recognition and Iris Recognition do, Voice Recognition is finding its specialty in specific niches such as call centers, financial trading, and specialty forensic cases. One of the primary advantages of Voice Recognition is that it has a low cost point of entry. Meaning, there is no extra, specialized hardware or software needed-it can leverage off of existing technology at a place of business or organization. In this radio show, we interview Ms. Sherrie Adcock, CEO of Voice Security Systems, Inc., based out of California. They have been in the Voice Recognition business for almost 20 years, and three US patents to their recognition. We learn more from Ms. Adcock about their "secret sauce" for successful Voice Recognition implementations, and what the future holds for it.

Join Supernatural Girlz Patricia Baker & Helene Olsen as they speak with Alien Abductees Betty Andreasson Luca and Robert Luca.
The Andreasson Affair is more than just a classic example of a close encounter. It is a case of such "high strangeness" that even the most open-minded investigators were at first inclined to dismiss it out of hand. Yet it has become one of the best documented cases of its kind to date. The case was the subject of an intensive 12-month investigation conducted by the Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS) that involved, among other things, the recording of large quantities of testimony given under hypnosis, extensive lie detector testing of witnesses, detailed analysis of corroborative circumstantial evidence, exhaustive comparison with other such accounts, and much more. Robert Luca has also uncovered mysterious covert surveillance of them, their family and friends that spans thirty years. Tune in to hear the evidence of Alien abduction and Government interference.
The Andreasson Affair book is being re-released by New Page Books with a new "Afterword," and includes:
The most detailed description of any UFO abduction experience.
Betty's precise drawings of her experience.
A supporting foreword to the book by astronomer Dr. J. Allen Hynek.
Verification of all events associated with Betty's experience.

SHOW NOTES: This episode is, “How did you buy your first home at age 27 as a single woman?”
I purchased my first home at age 27. I still own it today as an investment property (over 15 years later as of the time of this show). I bought it on my own. I used money I earned working (as an employee and from my own business) for the down payment, closing costs and fees. I received no money from anyone else (family or friends, etc.). I borrowed the remainder of the purchase funds from a bank.
NOTE: I discussed how to buy your first home in another show: Solutions...with Courtney Anderson! (SwCA) Episode 047 - Originally aired 2/26/2014 9:00 AM - FINANCIAL FIERCENESS! series - “How to buy your first (or next, or best) home!”
I discussed credit scores (and reports) in a two part show: RADIO SHOW/AUDIO PODCAST Solutions...with Courtney Anderson! (SwCA) Episode 022 - Originally aired 1/22/2014 9:00 AM - FINANCIAL FIERCENESS! series - “'Credit score, who cares?!' You should...here's why. 1) How did I buy my first home?
With money I earned and saved, 2) use of my credit report and score 3) and income verification to qualify for a loan from a lender for the balance. The home was priced at approximately $115,000 USD. It is a single family, unattached, three bedroom, two bath brick home that was brand new when I purchased it (from the builder). It was fulfillment of one of my dreams when I received the keys!
2) Was I limited by my age?
No. We are what age we are. I was aw
In the course of these radio shows, we have interviewed thus far two Biomeric Vendors whom specialize in scanning the eye for the purposes of verification and/or identification of an individual. So far, we have examined Sclera Recognition, as well as Iris Recognition. In today's interview, we interview Mr. Martin George, the CEO of Smart Sensors, LTD., based out of the United Kingdom. The UK can be considered the 'home' of Iris Recognition, as it was Dr. John Daugmann of the University of Cambridge whom developed the first set of commercial Iris Recognition algorithms. What sets Smart Sensors. LTD., today from the rest of the competition is that they are a 'one stop shop' for the customer wanting to use Iris Recognition technology. For example, they noy only offer various types of Iris Recognition hardware devices, but they also offer SDK's and database prototypes to meet the exacting needs of the customer. In this radio show, we learn from Mr. Martin George about their Iris Recognition products and services, what sets them apart from other Iris Recognition vendors, and what their plans and visions for the future are.

In this radio show, we interview Mr. Toby Rush, Founder and CEO of EyeVerify, LLC, based out of Kansas City, KS. This company has a very unique solution in that it focuses upon examining the blood vessel pattern in the whites of the eye (also known as the "Sclera") in order to confirm the identity of an individual. The eye also possesses the iris (which is located at the front), as well as the retina (which is located in the back). There are vendors in this space whom also make identification solutions, known as iris recognition and retinal recognition, respectively. We will find out out from Mr. Rush what makes their product stand out from these solutions. EyeVerify mostly focuses upon the mobile and wireless application markets, making it easier for the end user to gain access to their smartphone, rather than having to type in a password each and every time. EyeVerify is also the recipient of a recent $6 million dollar investment, and we will find out how that money will be used to propel EyeVerify into the future.
Finally, we will hear from Mr. Rush about his thoughts into the future of Virtual Payments made from Smartphones, and how EyeVerify's solution can fit into that market space.
