It will go down as the biggest upset in a heavyweight title fight since Tyson-Douglas, but it will also go down as one of the most boring, uneventful heavyweight title fights in the history of boxing. Despite the lack of action, in Dusseldorf Germany today, Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) outpointed long-reigning champ Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) in a unanimous decision victory by scores of 116-11, 115-112 X2.
This was the Ukrainian’s first loss in eleven years. Wladimir never seemed to let his hands go throughout the entire fight, and Fury was keen to keep moving around the ring and not get caught with one of Wladimir’s big right hands.
Wladimir had a career low in punches landed: 52 of 231 (23%). Fury only landed 86 out of 371 punches (23%), but was consistently landing at least one more shot per round than the champion was, and most rounds were virtually impossible to give to Wladimir: that is how inactive and gun shy he looked.

Another Man’s War
The Sam Childers Story
Machine Gun Preacher Sam Childers grew up in the hills of Pennsylvania. His parents were decent, honest people but at an early age Sam started to show a knack for getting into trouble. His father, a former marine, grew fond of saying “Boy, somebody’s gonna kill you one of these days!”
A Troubled Teen
By his early teens Sam was constantly in fist fights, selling hard drugs and sleeping with married women. He continued to slide deeper into a life of violence and crime until he became a Shotgunner – an armed guard for drug dealers. It was during this stage of his life that he met Lynn, a stripper, who would later become his wife.
Unlearning a Life of Crime
Sam, haunted by his father’s words, became increasingly concerned that he was going to be killed because of drugs and slowly began to distance himself from his former life. He found a job in construction and prospered despite his continuing drug and alcohol habit. Lynn, meanwhile, returned to the Church she had forsaken as a young adult.
A Changed Man
Sam also sought to re-establish his relationship with God and began to live a clean life. Slowly, things began to change for the better. Lynn gave birth to a healthy baby girl and Sam started his own construction business. Little did they know that their greatest challenge was just around the corner.

Over the past four centuries, generations of black people have asked the question: What is a black life worth?
The answer to this question has been complex. But, lately, it is a question that bears asking due to the increasing amount of black bodies populating city streets and morgues. Let listen to what Dr Martin Lurther King Has To Say About Being Black.
“God is not just in the church; He is also in technology. My mission is to empower people spiritually. “Walking with God is to stand where God stands, and to fight for whom God fights: the poor, the weak, the powerless and the defenseless. Walking with God is to have the courage to know that fear and trepidation before the might of the powerful is overturned by the fear of the Lord ! Walking with God is to understand, without doubt or equivocation that justice is what Yahweh requires. ~ Ashe Selah

Perry “DOC” Black was born and raised in the great state of Louisiana in 1965. In 1983, two weeks after graduating high school, he left for his first tour in the Army. Perry hated the Army life and left the Army 3 ½ years later and became a steel fabricator in Louisville KY. After working for 5 years as a civilian, after losing his job due to involvement with union organizing. He then spent the next six months partying and one morning he woke up staring at the ceiling and decided to return to the Army. Perry decided he wanted to be an Airborne Ranger and was lucky enough to get a Ranger contract. Ironically enough, Perry had never heard of the 75th Ranger Regiment and was unaware of the destiny awaiting him in becoming such an influential member of the Regiment.
His career as a Ranger started when he arrived in 3/75th in July of 91. He is a combat veteran of the Battle of Mogadishu, Somalia in 93, which is the inspiration for the famous book “Black Hawk Down”, written by author Mark Bowden, and movie directed by Ridley Scott. Doc served in 3/75th, from 91-97. He then went to Task Force 160, where he worked as a Special Operations Flight Medic from 97-99. He returned to his beloved Ranger Regiment, at 1/75th, from 99-01 as BN Senior Medic. He was then selected to be the Joint Special Operations Medic Course, Ranger Liaison. He served as Trauma instructor and later became the first Ranger NCOIC of the Special Operations Combat Medic Course and retired from active duty in 2007. Some of his awards and decorations include the Bronze Star with Valor 3-Oct 1993, MSM x 6, numerous ARCOM’s and AAM’s, EFMB, CFMB, Ranger Tab and Aviation Crewmember Wings.
