This book centers around the 30's but many of the descriptions of the people in the neighbourhood might just remind you of where you grew up and the personalities you enjoyed, or didn't. LOL

Like many of you, several members of our family have served in the United States Military. We have family that have served as Firemen, Police Officers, and other emergency services. We honor all of you today with this show! We understand that the call of duty affects those that serve and their friends and family. Today is the 147th year our nation has honored those that gave the ultimate sacrifice of laying down their life in service to another! Here at your place, we have given honor by sharing stories of our brave men and women who have recieved the highest honors for service above and beyond the call of duty. We shared with you a two part story with my son and his wife on his service in Iraq. My son returned from Iraq with PTSD (Post Tramatic Stress Disorder) and TBI (Tramatic Brain Injury). They were very open with how this effected them. I remember the nights we had soldiers call from Iraq letting us know they enjoyed this show! I remember the fear in one man's voice as he asked us to pray for his unit. We hope to honor them tonight with this show. The last thing we want is to stir up your emotions and then you do not feel a call to personally honor these brave men and women. Pease remember to take time today to pray for the families and friends of our brave fallen men and women. Then in your own way, show thanks for their service. We are shairing a program with you that is helping our wounded vets. It's called "The Wounded Warrior Project". http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/ You can go to their web site to find what they do. For less than most of us pay for a good meal you can provide monthly support for this program that aids your returning injured warriors. Is your grattitude worth less then $20 a month? Please, check out this great program!
The Early Bird Midnight Special! - Dream Catcher - Les Paul
At 22 Years of age I was young and pre TBI. I was feeling very heathy and taking on the future like on like a Mad Man on a mission when an AVM in my brain that had been hiding quietly erupted like a violent Volcano in my Brain from Birth struck from deep within my Brain as fast as lightning as I Screamed for help collapsing to the cement floor of the Factory that I worked as the fire of the explosive Aneurism in my brain hit me with blunt and brutal Fury from deep within my Skull with murderous intent!
I had visons of both being a professional Moto Cross Racer and a singer song writer musician and yet there I was screaming in pain like never before fighting for my very existence. The Good News is I am still here alive and kick wiring many permeant battle scars and even though I had several more surgeries all over my brain I have lived long enough to be thankful for all the pain and even can say I feel blessed. How about you do you feel week tired and angry or do you view life through a different lens that say no matter what keep on moving and fight not only for your own Independence but as a freedom Fighter for Justus and good for all people with disabilities.
Tonight I’m calling my show the Midnight early Bird Special because in my mind I say it’s time to celebrate success and heck even failure if you dare to believe in your Dreams because failure is just another word for survivors who are inspired to go back jack and do it again and again until we find out yes indeed life is good and worth living if you only give you self a chance and fight for the future with all the gusto you can muster up!!!
We will Talk and chat tonight so be ready to share your stories and listen to some great Indi music because and life is good and well worth living here at Dream Catchers a place where people come to listen, Learn, talk, and feel like part of the community again!

Memorial Day is a time to honor those brave Heroes who did not make it home. A common theme on the show is that of the "Blank Check" signed by those who take the oath to defend the constitution and the American way of life. Sometimes the price ultimately paid for our freedoms is the life of someone who put on that uniform. The Memorial Day Special which airs a day after the holiday is set to honor these heroes. We encourage people to call in with poetry to read, stories to tell; and messages to spread. Let's make this the biggest, best episode of Freedom's hands yet!
***There will also be a special announcement that will explain the change from Monday Nights to Tuesday Nights***
Join us this week on Christian Devotions SPEAK UP! as Scott interviews two Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas authors, Buck Storm and Karen Campbell Prough.
Buck Storm grew up in Yuma, Arizona—a true son of the American Southwest. He's marked time as a commercial diver, fisherman, sailor, and musician. As a singer/songwriter and purveyor of tales, he's bounced around the planet with a guitar and a pocketful of stories and has made friends in venues across the country. Whether lyrics or prose, Buck writes about this mixed-up, out of control, beautiful cacophony we call humanity. Buck and his wife Michelle have a happy love story, a hideout in North Idaho, and two wonderful children. The Miracle Man is his first novel.
Karen Campbell Prough grew up with a love for old books and steadfast characters. She spent some of her childhood entertaining younger brothers with short stories created by a wild imagination. She and her husband Edward have often camped in the Georgia Mountains, and there she placed the characters of her first book, The Girl Called Ella Dessa.
