Every dog is special, but some people are lucky enough to have dogs that in some way touch the hearts of everyone. In this show you will meet three people who have or have worked with such dogs. Before our feature guests, Dr. Jason Nicholas will give us some pet safety tips for the holidays.
Our first feature guest is Eric Ristau, the producer and director of the new documentary film, Sit Stay Ride: The Story of America's Sidecar Dogs. This film tells the stories of several people who travel on motorcycles with their dog in a side car such as the man confined to a wheel chair, and the senior dog with health issues that has new energy for life when riding in the sidecar and feeling the open air blowing in his face and bringing a steady stream of new smells and sensations.
Next you will meet Madalyn Ruggiero, who will share with us the legacy of her dog Denali who fell to nasal cancer but lived every day to the fullest spreading joy and love. It is not a story of sorrow, but one of hope.
Lastly, you will meet Richard Nash and Hudson the Railroad Puppy, who was found nailed to railroad tracks and is now living a happy life with a prosthetic leg and working as a therapy dog for children with prosthetics.
If you love dogs and the special bond they have with us, don't miss these stories. It is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and a desire to hug your dog!

?I called Willy back and we continue for another two hours!
Willy Whitefeather is 79 years old, and knows many of the old Cherokee stories.
Willy says, "The reason I wrote the survival book was to save a kid's life. Because I know of 28 kids that went out into the desert and mountains and never came back. This book is now into it's 7th printing. From my Cherokee hertitage I use old Cherokee ways in hopes to save a kids life. I was made honorary Chief of the Black Creek band of Cherokees."
