  • Hard Starboard Radio: Causes & Effects

    in Politics Conservative

Hillary Clinton's shriekzkrieg continues: Republicans want to "put illegals in boxcars," while Mexico threatens Texas over its refusal to issue illegal alien birth certificates; Latest Obama taunt: Iran "deal" will "improve Iran-Israel relations" while Hassan Rouhani tells Iranian "parliament" Iran nuclear "deal" is a "suggestion"; Thai police arrest a "foreign man" they refuse to identify in Bangkok bombing at the same time that ISIS is spreading all over the world; White Texas sheriff's deputy is executed by black gunman, and America's greatest sheriff - who also happens to be black - is mad as hell and is not going to take it anymore; While the EPA is blowing off the federal court injunction against Barack Obama's seizure of all American water, it's fining an ecologically enlightened Wyoming farmer into oblivion; and in overflow news, House GOP vows (again) to defund Planned Parenthood; The Sino-Russian Axis is plundering the Arctic; Barack Obama destroys Mt. McKinley; ObamaCare 'Cadillac Tax' will eliminate millions of tax-free HSAs & FSAs; Kanye West Kicks off the 2020 presidential campaign; and Auschwitz installs (wait for it, wait for it) (mist) showers for its Jewish guests.

The Next Mission Radio with special guest Curtis Jones (MR. VA/Gunny)

    in Military

(Tune in to The Next Mission Radio with your host Daniel Mays)

Join us as we go on air with Mr. Curtis Jones (Mr.VA/Gunny) as we dive into some of the issues that surround VA disabilities and ratings. We will be discussing issues and simple things that veterans miss when going to sign for their ratings. Also we will be discussing some other programs that are available for veterans such as the VFW, DAV, American Legion just to name a few.

Curtis Jones is a retired Marine Gunny who joined into the Marine Corps in 1977 during his time in service until his end of service in  1998. Once out of the military he held multiple jobs ranging from work as a security consultant all the way up to working for the FBI and everything else in between. Along with some of the jobs that the Gunny has held he has also volunteered his time and efforts to give back to the Veteran Community by taking part in VFW Post 304, DAV CHAPTER 3, AMERICAN LEGION POST 141, FRA BRANCH 24, and AMVETS.

"I work for the DOD, but my life's mission is to help any and all Vet's that I can. I believe in God and Country in that order and I am willing to die for both! I have always stood up for the underdog and will continue to do so! I am a combat Vet and a wounded warrior even tho you can't see my wounds. I have been in two helicopter crashes. Ran over a landmine in Bosnia, shot in the chest but by the Grace of God my vest took the round, almost taken out by an IED also in Bosnia."-Curtis Jones (Gunny)

So please join us on the air to talk with myself and Mr. Curtis to discuss VA ratings and any questions about the process and local VFW, DAV, and American legions.

Military Monday with John D. Gresham and USNI Press Author Charles Neimeyer

    in History

The War of 1812, was one of America's "small and forgotten" conflicts, much like the Korea in the 20th century. Ill advised, and really unnecessary for both Great Britain and the young United States of America (which was less than 50 years old at the time), the War of 1912 was a conflict that gained neither side much benefit, and diverted badly needed resources from other endeavors. Nevertheless, there were a number of intriguing and important lessons to be learned from the conflict, none more interesting than those derived from the British Chesapeake Campaign of 1814. A British squadron under command of Adm. Cochrane, raised habit for most of 1814 from the Virginia Tidewater to the waters around Baltimore, doing a surprising amount of damage and raising havoc against the seemingly hapless Americans. The British squadron took and burned Hampton, VA, portions of Washington, DC, and other towns along the bay, eventually only being stopped by the heroic defense of Baltimore and bombardment of Fort McHenry. It is a fascinating story, little known by most Americans, which almost went unnoticed during the recent bicentennial of the War of 1812.

To learn more about the War of 1812 and the 1814 Chesapeake Campaign, tune into this week's edition of Military Monday (#MilitaryMonday on the Writestream Radio Network (@Writestream)) at 1 PM EDT. Author, historian, journalist, documentary filmmaker, and host John D. Gresham (@greshamj01) has invited Naval Institute Press (@USNIBooks) author LCOL. Charles Neimeyer. , USMC (Ret.) to discuss his new book, War in the Chesapeake. His book is a new single-volume history of the campaign, and will prove enlightening for both academics and those new to the story.

Protesters Wage Hunger Strike To Save Dyett Public School

    in Women

Are you willing to put your life on the line for what you believe? Twelve advocates of supporting good neighborhood public schools have certainly done so. The Mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emanuel, wants to close Dyett public school, strategically located in the Hyde Park area bordering the Bronzeville community, forcing families to have to travel miles away from home to reach a nearby public school. In Chicago, traveling to outside neighborhoods could be fatal, given the unchecked gang violence that cost so many lives last school year. The bottom line issue is always money. The Dyett High school building would serve those well who want to include it in a real estate deal as the city negotiates space in Hyde Park for the new Presidential library. And as for the safety and education of the children? The city has chosen to ignore an excellent plan for the reopening Dyett as a Dyett Global Leadership and Green Technology School. Mr. Jitu Brown and Dr. Ayesha Wade Bey join us to give an update on the hunger strike.

You can join her broadcast live this Sunday - Aug 30, 9pm central time; as always this broadcast is a continuation of Butterfly Dreams Abuse Recovery community outreach broadcasting network. We are here to share your side of the story. We open our phone lines at 929-477-3163 and our chatroom is always a busy place to share with other listeners. Join in this very important program as we discuss Medical Treatments & Medications for your child/teen. Are you ready to be your child's medical advocate?

Almost weekly there is a new FDA approved regulation for a even more powerful medication being approved for children. On this topic I have a some very serious concerns. They have now approved Medical Marijuana for children; Oxycotin and many other opioid medications for pain treatment. They approve many benzodiazoprine medications to reduce behavioral issues. Is our healthcare system really researching all the underlying issues that could be affecting the child's condition or behavioral problems? Do you dissway them from discussing certain family related topics or are you completely honest about the daily functions of your child's home life? Is there underlying stress, constant negative chaos or arguing, violent threats, bullying by a parent or parental partner?

Your side of the story matters in this broadcast. Join callers & chatters as we open the discussion concerning medications & medical treatment for their child/teen. We are an entertainment & awareness program; we do not provide any professional, legal, medical, or therapeutic advice
