ENZYMES: The Gonzalez Nutritional Approach to Cancer

    in Health

There is no one answer to the many complex conditions plaguing our modern society, so the answer has to be custom tailored to the uniqueness of the individual. Using a multifaceted approach, while addressing the underlying causes, allows our guest on this week’s Health Media Live radio program, to become very effective in helping his most challenging cases regain hope, and in many instances, life.

Dr. Gonzalez graduated from Brown University and received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in 1983.  During a postgraduate immunology fellowship under Dr. Robert A. Good, considered the father of modern immunology and for years President of Sloan-Kettering, he completed a research study evaluating an aggressive nutritional therapy in the treatment of advanced cancer.  Since 1987, Dr. Gonzalez has been in private practice in New York City, treating patients diagnosed with cancer and other serious degenerative illnesses.  His therapy involves individualized diet, individualized supplement programs with pancreatic enzymes, and detoxification routines such as the coffee enemas.

Dr. Gonzalez has released three books: The Trophoblast and the Origins of Cancer, One Man Alone, and What Went Wrong: The Truth Behind the Clinical Trial of the Enzyme Treatment of Cancer. For further information about Dr. Gonzalez or his books contact:  www.dr-gonzalez.com or New Spring Press LLC: www.newspringpress.com.

Ode to the Heart.....and all things pink and green!

    in Self Help

This week we will delve into working on the pink level...or heart chakra.  It is amazing to me that this is the chakra where the "bear goes through the woods".  This is the spot where we decide to move forward and forgive, or drop back into our instincts.

I am looking forward to chatting with you about this and any other recovery topic that comes up on Building Blocks of Recovery Radio, every Monday at 3:30 PM PST, on BlogTalk Radio!

Linda Bender, DVM - "Animal Wisdom"

    in Spirituality

This month, Suzane welcomes special guest, Linda Bender, DVM.

A passionate, animal advocate and educator, Dr. Linda Bender's love of the natural world began in her childhood backyard. From orphaned deer to blue jays prematurely bumped from their nests, animals in distress somehow found a way to her loving arms. Her innate rapport with animals inspired her to earn a doctorate in veterinary medicine.

During the fourteen years she spent living in England, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, Linda’s veterinary work included the rescue, rehabilitation, and protection of wildlife, often in remote areas. Working with zoos in Southeast Asia, she treated animals rescued from the wildlife trafficking trade and helped reintroduce them back into their natural habitats. Among those given a second chance at life were clouded leopards, tigers, orangutans, and numerous species of rare psittacine and passerine birds.  Working in the field with rarely encountered wildlife, she helped to develop treatment protocols.

For over twenty-five years, Linda has practiced meditation and studied many of the world’s wisdom traditions, including shamanism. Learning the traditions and ancient wisdom of indigenous people enriched her understanding of the sacred connection between humans, animals, and nature. These experiences helped shape her environmental consciousness and deepened her commitment to spirituality, conservation and animal advocacy.

A dedicated animal advocate and pro-active, grass-roots champion of animals both domestic and wild, Linda recently completed her first book, Animal Wisdom: Learning from the Spiritual Lives of Animals released in June of 2014. Her new book illuminates the undeniable ability for animals to restore our ecological, emotional and spiritual balance. Linda currently lectures and facilitates Animal Wisdom workshops worldwide.

Interventions: What They Are, Who Needs One, And How To Do Them

    in Lifestyle

On this Sunday's show, we will talk about interventions:  what they are, who needs one, and how to going about doing one.

When a loved one is struggling with an active addiction, it is an exremely powerless and oftentimes hopeless feeling. Because the symptoms of the disease of addiction are behavioral as well as physical, and denial is such a huge component of the disease as well, it is difficult (if not impossible) to reason with an active alcoholic/addict.  Many people turn to an intervention to get help for an addict who is not able to break the cycle of addiction.

But where to start?  On this episode we will walk through the steps of an intervention, as well as provide advice on what works, and what doesn't.  We will talk about ways a family can be helpful to an active addict, both with an intervention and in general, share our own personal experiences with interventions, and talk to a nationally certified recovery coach.

Please tune in to this informative episode!
