In this episode of The Red Light Sports Ramble, presented by The Red Light Sports Network, Evan Witalison and Troy Otradovec spend some time talking NFL football. The heavy rush of free agency has come and gone, but teams are still signing players. The Green Bay Packers added some depth at defensive line, resigning B.J. Raji and Letroy Guion.
Raji missed all of the 2014 season, with a torn biceps injury. Guion had a solid year, and may have exceeded expectations. However, he some off the field issues, in the off season. Those charges were dismissed, and the Packers are willing to give him another chance. Both players signed one year contracts. Raji will make $3.5 million, while Guion receives $2.75 million. With incentives Raji could make up to $4 million with incentives. Guion could make $3.25 million, if he meets all of the incentives. Do you think that Packers made a good choice, with these signings? Listen in and call the show with your thoughts.
If you're a San Francisco 49ers diehard, this is a show you don't want to miss because the Core Show panelists will interview former 49ers, 3-time Pro Bowl tight end, Ted Kwalick. Kwalick has a story that will show a pattern of 49er management misssteps when it comes to the relationships they have had with coaches and players. Kwalick is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame and attended Penn State. Hear what he says about his former Penn St. head coach, Joe Paterno, as it relates to the Jerry Sandusky child molestation scandal. We will also react to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and his remarks about the possible return of the NFL to Los Angeles in the aftermath of the 2015 NFL Owners Meetings. We will also explain why it's crazy for any follower of the 2015 NCAA Tournament to root against the University of Kentucky winning the NCAA title and completing a 40-0 season in the process.

The Chicago Cubs announced yesterday that they sent 3 of their young prospects to the minors. Team President Theo Epstein explained his reasons for doing so, but assured media and fans that all 3 players will have big roles for the Cubs moving forward. We're down to four teams in the NCAA Tournament, and three #1 seeds have made it through. Tonight I'll give my preview of one of the two matchups: Kentucky vs. Wisconsin in a rematch of last year's semifinal round. The Blackhawks got much needed wins on back to back nights against two Western Conference contenders, and things are getting very tight in the standings with 6 games left in the regular season. The Bulls, meanwhile, had a solid wire-to-wire victory over the lowly New York Knicks on Saturday, and have won 5 of 6. With the team in solid form, Derrick Rose has rejoined the team in full-contact practices, though Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau is still not committing to a specific return date. All this and your phone calls at (347) 327-9183!
