The NFL officials are making it crystal clear to teams this week that gay slurs will not be tolerated on the field. While officials have had the ability to determine various actions "unsportsmanlike conduct," this new policy makes those slurs explicitly against the rule and punishable with a 15-yard penalty. Yet other leagues suspend players for the same incident. Is a 15-yard penalty in football enough?
Plus, the Gay Games kick off next week. Outsports will be there covering the Games from Cleveland all week. We reminisce about some of our favorite Gay Games memories and invite you to share yours!

The boys are back and better than ever in a brand new show. The show begins with breaking news of a new contract extension for General Manager Ted Thompson, with speculation that an extension for Mike McCarthy is not to behind. Following that are a couple news tidbits about players coming off the injury lists, and an organization role for recently retired running back Johnathan Franklin.
After the news segment, the boys go behind the bench discussing whether the idea of Micah Hyde being the starting safety over first-round pick Ha Ha Clinton-Dix bothers them, before they check in on the tight end position battle in practice.
The summer conversation series continues this week with a discussion of the guys' favorite pre-Ron Wolf era player, before Ryan discusses some of the starters on special teams in the show's signature segment You're Gonna Want To Cut That.

Helping High School students athletes to get considered for and accepted at colleges and universities is our Mission. We offer parents, coaches, schools, business community and anyone else that influences the life of a student athlete, the tools and resources they need to advance their academic and athletic pursuits.
BEYOND FINDING THE RIGHT SCHOOL
Student athletes not only want to get into a college or university, they also are looking for scholarship opportunities. Identifying student athletes that are capable of garnering scholarship opportunities isn't simple. In an arena of just over 7 million High School students athletes only 2% of those students will receive some level of scholarship.

In the "There's always money for Tulo in the banana stand edition," Jeffrey and Greg are contractually obligated to talk about the Troy Tulowitzki trade rumors, since they clearly aren't going away. We point out that the Mets prospects have their flaws too, and uh, probably aren't turning into 5-win players before discussing potential Carlos Gonzalez and Bartolo Colon deals as well. Then we take your e-mails. We'll ponder how excited you should be about Dilson Herrera (reasonably!), what the ideal Sand Alderson hitter looks like, and whether Noah Syndergaard will see any major league time this year. Jeffrey is also called out to defend his ambivalence towards the Alderson regime. Finally, we wrap things up with soccer talk.
