The Dr. Pat Show-Talk Radio to Thrive By!

The Dr. Pat Show: Part 1 of Six Ways to Know a False Inner Guide From the True One with Guy Finley.

Part 1 of a 2 part conversation - Guy Finley, the author of “The Secret of Your Immortal Self,” explains that the journey to the divinity within has its dangers. The inner path is lined with many trials and pitfalls. But there is nothing to be feared in this knowledge. In truth, these encounters are actually stages of initiation, necessary points along the upper path where the aspirant reaches – again and again – the proverbial "fork in the road."
A great confusion usually clouds these unwanted moments, the aspirant can't see down either path, as a kind of darkness shrouds the entrance to both. How can a person tell which of the two paths is the true one? Which leads to the immortal Self, and which is a one-way ticket back to being "me" again? And how do I know which – if any – of these "voices" in my head telling me, "This is the way," or "No, go that way," is offering me the right instruction?
In this new conversation with Dr. Pat, Guy will explain the 6 ways we can tell the difference between a false “inner guide” and the true one.

    in Sports

The first of our newest show, The Boxing Forum Radio, airs tonight before Mayweather-Pacquiao bout during the undercards (i.e. Leo Santa Cruz and Vasyl Lomachenko) at 7 PM EST. We will discuss

Boxing is a combat sport in which two people engage in a contest of strength, speed, reflexes, endurance, and will, by throwing punches at each other, usually with gloved hands. Historically, the goals have been to weaken and knock down the opponent. While people have fought in hand-to-hand combat since before the dawn of history, the origin of boxing as an organized sport may be its acceptance by the ancient Greeks as an Olympic game in BC 688. Boxing evolved from 16th- and 18th-century prizefights, largely in Great Britain, to the forerunner of modern boxing in the mid-19th century, again initially in Great Britain and later in the United States.

    THAT BEING SAID...

What do you know about the art of Boxing? Who's the best boxer ever? Why? Talk to us this Saturday and let's talk about everything there is to know about boxing. Your host, The Monk, will be in studio LIVE to really get down to the nitty-gritty. Stemming from our popular Facebook group, The Boxing Forum launches its first show live on-air! The Porch - Forgotten Warfare Part 5 - The Confident Calling

    in Spirituality

We resume our look at Judges Chapter 6, Gideon, the children of Israel and their battle against their enemies.  A confident calling is needed to serve the Lord in times of struggle and warfare.

Getting back to basics by examining the Word of God and, especially, the Book of Acts Church, The Porch Online Bible Study is taking a deeper look into how the early church served the Lord.

Our desire is to find and restore the priesthood of the Believer and the world shaking influence the Early Church had. By delving deeper into scripture, we will find the Church the Lord intended and not the one man created.

The Church Age is not over and, therefore, what took place in the Upper Room is as much for now as it was on the Day of Pentecost. If you know that there is more to your spiritual walk with Yeshua/Jesus and you want more then you are welcome to join us on this journey as we get back to basics!

The Porch is an outreach of Solomon's Porch Inc. http://www.onsolomonsporch.org.  If you have any questions please visit the site and use the comment button.

RESCHEDULED! Stephanie, PCOS, Possibly Cushing's Patient

    in Health

Her bio states: "Hi. My name Steph, and this has been a long journey for me so far, and I see a long road ahead. Hopefully their will be a rainbow once all these clouds have melted away. I just turned 33 years old (this month) and have been dealing with symptoms of Cushing's since I was a pre-teen without even knowing it. I was diagnosed (or possibly mis-diagnosed) with PCOS when I was about 11. That's when the irregular (to almost non-existent) menstrual cycles, hirutism (chin, upper lip, upper and lower thighs, fingers, toes, basically everywhere) and weight problems began. I was immediately put on birth control to regulate my periods, which only made my life a living nightmare. They forced on a fake (non-ovulating) period and made my moods a disaster. I went on to be on birth control until from the age of 11 until about 3 years ago when I just couldn't take it anymore, and took myself off. I've been using herbal supplements for menstrual regulalation since then, and feel MUCH better. Over the years I've always felt like there was something "more than PCOS" wrong with me. From the extreme inability to lose weight normally, and the ease to gain it, to the weak legs, vitamen d insuffeciency, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, extreme irritability, now non-existent cycle, shortness of breath (just from walking up 1 flight of stairs), slow healing, hoarse voice, high testosterone, male pattern baldness, blurry vision, EXTREME brain fog etc..... It has been very, very, very tough and emotional over the years. It has taken a toll on my personality, emotions, and those around me....
