This Year We're Gonna Recruit Like It's 1999

    in Business

The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, from 7-8 pm ET (4-5 pm PT).

Last week we talked about how to become workplace fascinating, and this week we're going to talk about how 2015 will be the best year for recruiting since 1999.

Consider this: more jobs were created in 2014 than in any other year since 1999. According to a recent New York Times article, employers have hired more than one million people since November 1, 2014.

However, it's not all "Happy New Year" champagne and caviar; there is still an end-of-times dirge bemoaning that upwards of 30 million Americans are either out of work or severely underemployed.

Either way, company culture and transparent relationships will be the primary drivers for successfully recruiting and retaining employees in 2015. The talent acquisition teams that get this will facilitate winning.

Join TalentCulture #TChat Show co-founders and co-hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn about how 2015 will be the best year for recruiting since 1999 with this week’s guest: Will Thomson, Global Sales Recruiter for Rosetta Stone and the Founder of Bulls Eye Recruiting.

Thank you to all our TalentCulture sponsors and partners: TalentWise, Dice, Hootsuite, SAP/SuccessFactors, GreatRated! of Great Place to Work, IBM Smarter Workforce, CareerBuilder, PeopleFluent, Fisher Vista and HRmarketer Insight.

Labor Day Special: Voting Matters for Employed, Underemployed, and Jobless

    in Motivation

This show is as special Labor day show for people who work for their money. Those who work for their money and have great  jobs this labor day can thank union members for the opportunity to have a paycheck and other benefits that comes with the paycheck. You owe union members before you owe the corporation you work for. If you have a union you can join, you should do so this month. If you have no union available, you can support union members and you can register to vote, talk to your elected officials about jobs and homelessness in your city and vote Nov 4 for the people who will support jobs and not outsourcing jobs.

The under employed who have a job can thank union members for the jobs available for many of you today and for the opportunity at hand for you to join a union and make life much better for your and those who depend on you. Being in a union brings more opportunities to employees. Union representatives can negotiate for workers and employers are willing to negotiate when they know these are the wishes of the workers. You can be instrumental in a better America by registering to vote, contacting your elected official about the need to raise minimum wages, and be sure you go vote Nov 4th for the person who is for more jobs for Americans, and against outsourcing US jobs.

Those jobless today you have some serious decisions to make. 25-30million of you need jobs. You can encourage corporations to create jobs by registering to vote during September 2014, by contacting your elected official during September and make clear that you will vote against their job if you are not working come November 4, 2014. Then you go and boycott businesses that refuse to hire, and you join protest against politicians.

Jobless, Hungry, Homeless, Sickly, Insane in America! Check appropriate box/es

    in Religion

Research shows 9 of 10 American confess Christianity as their religion of choice yet 1 in 6 Americans live in poverty.  Keep in mind; we live in the land of opportunity. Able bodied adults are jobless, underemployed, hungry, homeless, sickly, and many are insane, fuctional and not. The average American would have to check several of the above boxes if listed on an application where personal information is a requirement. There is absolutely no reason for people in Americe to live under such conditions. For many in poverty, (45.3 million) work on jobs with stagnated wages and no benefits. Many companies employ Americans at almost slave wages; CEOs outsource American jobs; CEOs bring in citizens of other countries to work in jobs where Americans are being denied. CEOs and politicians say American workers are unskilled, and unable to produce the quality of labor required. Is this why you check so many boxes? these days? And our Veterans have all of the above and even more issues!
