Hosts Phil Bowermaster and Stephen Gordon examine the mysteries of time encoded in living beings all around us. What do present-day species tell us about life in the distant past? And there may be deeper implications. Could the presence of evolutionary ghosts hint at unexpected truths about the origins not just of life, but the universe itself?

During the Great Depression, massive unemployment increased public resentment and fear of Mexican immigrants, escalating public and governmental concern about the problem of marijuana. This instigated a flurry of research which linked the use of marijuana with violence, crime and other socially deviant behaviors, primarily committed by "racially inferior" or underclass communities. By 1931, 29 states had outlawed marijuana.
After a lurid national propaganda campaign against the "evil weed," Congress passed the Marijuana Tax Act. The statute effectively criminalized marijuana, restricting possession of the drug to individuals who paid an excise tax for certain authorized medical and industrial uses.

In lite of the recent murders of Black men and women here in America I was led by my Ancestors to address the subject matter of inappropiate behavior where Black (negro) Americans are concerned. I first heard this term from the author of Powernomics; Ed.D. Claude Anderson. He is also the author of the books; Black Labor and White Wealth (the serch for power and economic justice and Dirty Little Secrets (about Black history, It's Heroes and other Troublemakers). I felt it only fitting to allow the 9Mind Sacred Sisterhood listeners to here the lecture given by Dr. Anderson to a large prodimantely all Black Church audience on this subject in it's entirety. Enjoy and if you are empowered by anything YOU HERE, share it with those you think it may help. http://www.harvestinstitute.org/web/newslettersum2002.pdf

You can learn a lot about a culture from simply watching commercials. This weekend's Superbowl commercials seemed to echo a similar theme - harmony among people, Peace on Earth,Love, not War. Is American culture finally evolving toward a more humane society? What are some of the forces that could be steering it in that direction? How can we help to manifest this thought of peace and equality in our economic policies, in order to end the distress of the unemployed underclass?
All children have tremendous potential to excel in science, math, technology, physics, chemistry and all the subjects that could enable our youth to contribute to the progress of society. But our schools are not giving equal access to knowledge to all children, but are instead purposely creating an underclass in the inner cities that is programmed for prison. Meanwhile, wealthy suburban schools offer the subjects that produce our future scientists and engeneers. What would happen if all children were given access to higher knowledge? Ramal Bell, recent winner of the Illinois Institute of Technology Engineering Award, is a Senior at Lincolnwood North, a school in an affluent suburban community that offered Engineering/Physics classes. One of the few African American students at the school, Ramal represents what can happen when youth are given access to knowledge. His parents, Lamar and Angel Bell, realized that they had to give their children academic opportunities in order to enable them to excel. How can we transform our inner city schools so that they really prepare our children with the skills that are needed to be a viable part of the society in which they live?
Many religious teachings promote a philosophy of male superiority and female insignificance in world affairs. Western concepts of Christianity personalize God as a man who metes out punishment to the disobedient and dismiss Eastern concepts of God as a force or power rather than a being as more or less paganistic and primitive. Fear based teachings that demand faith without question often prevent challenges to concepts that are racist, sexist, or designed to perpetuate bigotry against an economic underclass. Author Dr. Grace Ji Sun Kim, a visiting Researcher at Gorgetown University, discusses how to develop mutual respect for cultural differences among religious groups, how to address and overcome sexism in religion, and how spiritual women can influence world peace.
We caught up with our old friend Bill Murphy of Gata.org. He believes that the latest budget deal in Congress is motivated by fear. They have perhaps the lowest approval rating in the nation and for good reason. As Mark Twain said, they're a permanent criminal underclass. Bitcoin has blasted off to the moon making many early entrants rich, while gold and silver have been totally supressed. Bill is looking forward to seeing many of you at the Liberty Mastermind Symposium on February 21-22 in Las Vegas.

Tonight we discuss "PowerNomics" by powerful author Dr. Claude Anderson
PowerNomics analyzes the complex web of racial monopolies and Black America's inappropriate behavior patterns that are driving it into a permanent underclass status. Dr. Anderson proposes new concepts that teach Blacks new ways to see, think, and behave in race matters. His new education, political and economic action steps are designed to make Black America self-sufficient and competitive.
