Energy and hydration are big challenges for many endurance runners and in the past year or so many of our listens have been enjoying great success with a product called Tailwind.
Tailwind is also a sponsor of the Anzac Ultra and today we are catching up with Gavin Markey who is the Tailwind representative in Australia, and an accomplished ultra runner.
After meeting Gavin we explore the background to Tailwind and the ways runners are using it to achieve their desired success. Along the way we also talk to Gavin about his plans for the Anzac Ultra.

James L. Bailey is interviewed as the author of the Contrast Community which is an intense discovery of the Sermon on the Mount and it's meaning. It deals with the beattitudes which appeals to those who have emptiness and desire mercy to those who have fullness and can give. He approaches the book as a tool for the church to use a transformative power to minister to the external world by employing lessons Jesus gave like turning the other cheek, giving the cloak off your back, walking the extra mile for someone. He also tackles broader lessons of Christ on adultery, anger and its potential damage and how to become perfect in Christ (don't swear, express hatred). The church can use these basic precepts as an effective ministry to help those who are suffering in their local community. He also explains the difference of believers in the 1st Century church who were rabbinical Jews, Pharisees, Gentiles and how Jewish converts had to deal with critics to come full circle in the Judeo-Christian belief and accept the Messiah.
James Bailey graduated from Capital University (1960) and Trinity Lutheran Seminary (1964) in Columbus, Ohio, before earning a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland (1967). After pastoring in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jim taught at Trinity Lutheran Seminary (1970-74), Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota (1975-85), and Wartburg Theological Seminary (1985-2003). Jim is now the John S. and William A. Wagner Professor Emeritus of Biblical Theology at Wartburg Seminary, having retired from full-time teaching in 2003. Jim has published several Bible studies for the church and is co-author of Literary Forms in the New Testament. He most recently published Contrast Community: Practicing the Sermon on the Mount, the topic for his session during Re-formation and Renewal. Jim and his wife Judy still reside in Dubuque, Iowa.

Seth Haberman is your average guy––family man, marriage reconciliation counselor, Modern Orthodox Jew who follows Torah to the best of his ability. He loves his wife and his kids.
His little plot of land in rural Illinois is all he needs to fulfill his life’s dream of security and peace. Everything is good.
Seth’s life is about to change. He meets Joshua Josephson on the Chicago West Line Metra.
It’s been a stressful day at work. Seth’s desire is to leave his job behind and relax with his wife, Rivka and their six children. However, he does something he’s never done before. He invites this stranger to dinner. And not only that, he allows Joshua to stay for a week.
Seth is under deadline to finish the garage apartment for his sister-in-law and her soon to be husband. Joshua mentions that he’s done carpentry work. Seth asks Joshua to stay on and help him finish the project.
Seth’s friend, Richard has concerns about this man. Could he be a danger to the family?
One day before the completion of the apartment, a crisis threatens to challenge the very core of the Haberman family. Will Joshua’s presence help or hinder?
At weeks end, Seth and Rivka are faced with questions that will change the course of their lives.
Has Seth made a mistake in inviting Joshua into his home?

Here's to Your Holidays...
Passover actually begins Friday, April 3rd, and the esteemed Rabbi Joseph Potasnik will be our special guest.
Holy Thursday is April 2nd, and this launches Easter Week, which includes Good Friday on April 3rd, and then Easter Sunday on April 5th. We are pleased to announce that Rev. Marcos Miranda will cover all this in our Easter Show on April 2nd.
Today, we'll talk about both holidays. As our Health Guru, Beverly Nadler, says, you don't have to be Jewish to enjoy the significance of Passover; nor do you have to be Jewish to attend a Passover Seder. Many non-Jews love the Passover celebration, just as many non-Christians love Easter. They may even join in an Easter Parade.
Today, please join us in our "Here's to Your Holidays" show for some significant rituals, trivia and humor. Regardless of your religion, let's join together and celebrate these very special occasions.
