Holland was born and raised in Hollywood, California, and currently lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It was not uncommon for the entire clan to spend holidays, birthdays and other important life events together. Holland’s father is a jazz musician. He plays a haunting and beautiful alto sax. As a child Holland used to love watching his father play. Some of his fondest memories are of nights spent in all-night jazz clubs till the wee hours of the morning watching him pour every inch of his soul into his glorious sax. His mother, Keithe, is an avid reader. Holland’s childhood was filled with jazz, rock and roll, art and an endless stream of books. But there was also his love of baseball. Holland’s dad signed him up for the Hollywood Little League when he was eight years old. Baseball came easily to him. Hailing down flies beneath huge summer skies, watching the ball explode off his bat and disappear into a tiny dot. He soon learned that this was a game filled with poetry and miracles, an inch being the difference between failure and success.

Sybil McMiller, host of the Pulse and I (Isidra Person-Lynn of Sunday Morning Live) met one night commenting on another friend's Blog Talk RadioShow (BTR) where Sybil was a guest. The two began to asist each other with the ins and outs of BTR. That was eons ago, and now Sybil has become a part of Isidra's family for holidays and special events. So Sybil, whose birthday was earlier in May was kidnapped by a friend of hers, and she had such a great time she decided to pay it forward to Isidra. On Sunday May 24th, she kidnapped Isidra and treated her to a fabulous birthday out! Being the show hosts, they are, they deliver this 15 minute recap. Unbeknownst to us, we only had 15 minutes, so if you want to hear the entire clip, go here: https://soundcloud.com/user3364893/isidra-and-sybil-birthday

Another disease is excessive busyness. It is found in those who immerse themselves in work and inevitably neglect to “rest a while.” Neglecting needed rest leads to stress and agitation. A time of rest, for those who have completed their work, is necessary, obligatory and should be taken seriously: by spending time with one’s family and respecting holidays as moments for recharging.Join Daniel and Johnnie as they continue their conversation on The 15 Diseases of Leadership, According to Pope Francis and see where you might need to redirect your way of thinking or maybe not and keep getting the results you already have.
Memorial Day brings a pulse where many are in the grief process. There is no proper way to grieve a love one. The best one can hope for is healing and positive memories will outweigh those associated with suffering. In fact, holidays do not stop the loss of life. Many will lose theirs today in a car accident. This show will let the families of people lost while serving their country know our deep appreciation of what they have given to us and how to continue to live with hope after loss.

Hope you are having a fabulous Monday! It's Memorial Day Monday and it is a hot and toasty sunny day here in South Florida this afternoon! I was out and about a short while ago at the store and the parking lot was definitely as busy as can be! The store probably was too but I was on the phone and on a mission to pick up the couple of items I needed so I didn't seem to notice. I did have to put down the phone to handle the many cars and pedestrians moving about the lot. I was talking to my boy and he pointed out.. well it IS Memorial Day.. ahh yes the buzz and hustle about the holidays! Makes perfect sense. Now I am back home for a while before heading out with friends for the evening. It's time for a show so here we go! Call me at (646) 378-1541 to get on the air with me! Planning an hour long feast of your musical favorites!
