Yung Gator grew up in a single parent home for as long as he could remember; he is the younger of two older brothers on his mom side and has two sisters and four brothers on his dad side. It was a battle growing up in the streets of Michigan City for Yung Gator, at the age of two his legs had to be broken due to medical issues and was forced to wear braces for six months. Yung Gator went through many trials and tribulations which led him to his next step in life which was music.
Yung Gator started doing music in the year of 2002 under the influences of the Temptations, 2 Pac, Master P, P Diddy, Lil Wayne, and UGK just to name a few. Yung Gator came up with his name when he was at the age of twelve, he later came up with his label named U.S.H. Legendary hip hop artist and actor, Lord Jamar will be stopping by Reckless 2.0 to discuss his views on the system of racism/white supremacy. He is a member of the hip-hop group Brand Nubian, which formed in 1989, in New Rochelle (Now Rule), NY. As an actor, he is best known for his role of Supreme Allah on the TV series Oz. He has appeared on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Third Watch, and The Sopranos. He has also done production work for artists such as dead prez, UGK, Buckshot, Helta Skelta and Peter Gabriel. He released his debut solo Album The 5% Album (an album dedicated to the Nation of Gods and Earths) on June 27, 2006. He also appeared in a much talked about episode of The (White) Rapper Show in which he criticized contestant John Brown for naming his company Ghetto Revival. Like his onscreen character on Oz, Jamar is a member of the Nation of Gods and Earths. Jamar can also be heard as "The Voice of The X Games" on ESPN.
Lord Jamar has been very vocal about his views on the current state in hip hop culture, white rappers, homosexuality, the effeminization of black males, and what racism/white supremacy is doing to black people. We will be exploring many of these topics, as well as the ever-increasing amount of anti-blackness in the media. It is an honor and a privilege to speak with one of the true architects of hiphop, and one of the very few open and honest voices of our time. It’s going to be Reckless.

Born and raised in Missouri City, TX (in the Houston metropolitan area), the 24 yr-old producer & artist Jazz Will brings a unique twist to the style & culture that is Houston. Stemming from his childhood days of attempting to make songs with a Casio keyboard, microphone, and karaoke machine, he has always been keen to making music. However, throughout his life he had become recogninzed as a basketball player.
Even so, Jazz Will always wrote rhymes & poetry as a second passion and was even well respected at times of freestyle cyphers with friends or family. Within the past few years though, music began to take more of a front seat in his life when he began to officially produce, and now this year record as an artist. His influences include, but aren’t limited to, UGK, Biggie, Jay-Z, Tupac, Nas, Outkast and Z-Ro.
