Today's UDL broadcast is a limited premiere airing of a recording from the on going dialogues between Imam Faheem Shuaibe and HIs Daughter Haneefah Shuaibe-Peters. She holds a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. She is the founder of the current Weekend School (An-Nas) at Masjidul Waritheen. Faheem and Haneefah are in on-going developmental dialogues as they construct the blueprint for Independent Islamic Education.
"So, “Al-Islam’s Education Paradigm” means that the “Education Paradigm” will be possessed by (subject to) Al-Islam. Thus stated as an “of construction“, it would be “The Education Paradigm of Al-Islam”. This means that the methodology and techniques as well as the tools and principles in the field of education will be Islamic. Islamic doesn’t mean drawn only from explicitly religious texts and sources authored by Muslims, but includes materials adapted from other sources which are aligned with the universal values of Al-Islam."

Yusuf’s statements (12: 23) show that he had “G-d Consciousness (Taqwa) which is a Consciousness of G’d, and a Consciousness of the consequences of deeds in Allah’s design.
Yusuf understood and sought to live with a Consciousness of his own Human Nature and in accordance with the Laws of G’d; understanding the bearing of the Laws of G'd on the Human Condition.
Maturity in the Second Shirt is The Rational Moral Conscience of the believer in G’d. In essence the Second Shirt is Logic in service to Taqwa. In human nature, intellect serves interest (it only rationalizes [+ , -] our appetites and aspirations), but in spiritual maturity Intellect serves Allah.
The Quran, is the final revelation. As such it is a continuation, correction, commentary and a completion of previous revelation.
So, how are Yusuf’s 3 Shirts addressed in previous scripture?
75:1. I do call to witness the Resurrection Day;
2. And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit; (eschew Evil).
3. Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones?
The Parable Of The Straight Path
Allah has given a parable of the straight path, and on the two sides of this path, there are two walls containing door ways.
On these door ways, there are curtains that are lowered down.
On the gate of this path there is a caller heralding, "O people! come and enter the straight path all together and do not divide.
"There is also another caller that heralds from above the path, who says when a person wants to remove the curtain on any of these doors, `Woe to you! Do not open this door, for if you open it, you will enter it.
The (straight) path is Al-Islam, the two walls are Allah's set limits, the open doors lead to Allah's prohibitions, the caller on the gate of the path is Allah's Book (the Qur'an), while the caller from above the path is Allah's admonition in the heart of every Muslim.
At-Tirmidhi and An-Nasa'i also recorded this Hadith, and At-Tirmidhi said, "Hasan Gharib.''
G'd willing we will be able to broadcast the first segment of the day's male-female communications workshop (Live from Detroit Michigan). It will be a men’s only segment and we will focus on the communication skills that men need to develop in general in their relationships with each other and particularly in their relationships with their wives and intended spouse’s.
Taqwa is a growth in self consciousness and G’d consciousness which protects us from our potential for shame, sin, error and disobedience to Allah. When we lose Taqwa that is the Death born of Sin that the Bible speaks of. The Quran also connects Taqwa and this death in the verse 3: 102
So the potential for shame, sin, error and disobedience to Allah is not in the flesh. It’s in the consciousness.
Taqwa is what moves you out of the first shirt and the potential harm that you’re subject to there into the second shirt. Taqwa alerts you to and empowers you against your own Jinn.
Salat, Zakat and Fasting are all practices which help us to domesticate our Jinn.
Joseph’s First Shirt is “The Dress of The Mortal Body”
Joseph’s Second Shirt is “The Dress of The Rational Body”

Verse 21 “We may adopt him as a son”. This continuation also alludes to the Trinitarian Model. (Rational Body; “The Sun”/Mental Aspiration”, etc.). This is the beginning of the instruction - “Thus did we establish Joseph in the land that We might teach him the interpretation of stories (and events)” - so it’s speaking to the rational body being prepared to learn higher things.
Imara’at relates to Nafsa La Ammarat Its universal relationship to both men and women (8: 24 Yahulu bainal mari’..).
The Nafsa La Ammaratu connection is because this is the Transitional Phase between the 1st and the 2nd. “Thus did we establish Joseph in the land that We might teach him the interpretation of stories (and events).” In 23: 12-14 the growth pattern is from indefinite to definite. So at this stage Yusuf is indefinite in his rational development but he’s beyond dominance by the jinn nature.
Nature of the Jinn is connected with our flesh existence and our need for Taqwa and Self-Discipline to override its affect on us. The Jinn is a part of "The Human Condition". The Jinn in relationship to our human nature is like the shadow in connection with objects. Shadows aren’t in the objects but there is no object without a shadow. The Jinn is not a part of the human nature but there is no human being that is not attached to a Jinn. Therefore, the Jinn is Connate not Innate to the human nature.
Diqqat ash-Shu-ur – Sensitivity and Sensibility; (p. 474 Hans-Wehr). This can be appreciated through the interpretation of Jesus’ Hair on his return (i.e., when original nature is realized in consciousness; 40 years).
Shu-uri - Conscious; Emotional (p. 474 Hans-Wehr)
Shaa-ir – Knowing by instinctive perception, endowed with deeper insight, with intuition. (p. 474 Hans-Wehr).
Sha ‘A Ra (Lane’s Lexicon p. 1559-60)
The English word “Sure” as in “certain” is connected with this term.
Knew it; Was cognizant of it; Understood it; He perceived it by any of the senses; To know the state of something; possessed the concept of it; Comprehended it; Experiencing it in Consciousness.
This Arabic term is semantically connected with Poetry. Because Poetry demonstrates or alludes to understanding the minute details of the subject matter of the poem (Lane’s Lexicon p. 1560). Poetry is language qualified by rhyme and measure intentionally. The Quran is not poetry (one reason being that in much poetry is falsehood).
One is called a poet because of his intelligence; because he knows what others don’t know (p. 1562)
Sahih International: O children of Adam, let not Satan tempt you as he removed your parents from Paradise, stripping them of their clothing to show them their private parts. Indeed, he sees you, he and his tribe, from where you do not see them. Indeed, We have made the devils allies to those who do not believe.
Satan stripped Adam of his original clothes. Then comes the evil corruption and death of sin; the death we die because of our sins. Death is the loss of the innocent sensitivities and conscience of a Muslim (3: 102).
Sahih International: Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people."
Man’s first clothing was his flesh (23: 12-14)
7: 26-27 (Sahih International): O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts (Cain and Abel; hide your potential for shame; No shame pre-puberty) and as adornment (clothing modesty beauty; spiritual capability to rise above the gravity of the flesh – your potential for shame). But the clothing of righteousness (G’d Consciousness) - that is best. That is from the signs of Allah that perhaps they will remember.
“We have bestowed upon you clothing to hide your potential for sin and as adornment (e.g., Humility an awareness of your own shortcomings)
The Messenger of Allah (salallahu alaihe wa-sallam) said: "My entire nation is safe, except al-Mujahirin (those who boast of their sins). Among the Mujaharah is that a man commits an (evil) act, and wakes up in the morning while Allah has kept his (sin) a secret, he says: "O Fulan! Last night I did this and that." He goes to sleep while Allah has kept his (sin) a secret but he wakes up in the morning and uncovers what Allah has kept a secret!" [Saheeh al-Bukharee]
THIS ALSO AN INDICTMENT OF CONFESSIONS AS A RELIGIOUS OBLIGATION!!!
Qur’an is a Continuation, Correction, Commentary and a Completion of previous scriptures. So for the richest and deepest connections we need to see Allah’s revelation in the symmetry of the history of Scripture.
Taqwa, Sin and Death
Romans 5: 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Romans 6: 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
3: 102 O you who have believed, Be conscious of Allah with the consciousness that is due to him and die not except as Muslims [in submission to Him].
