Military Monday with John D. Gresham With Col. Rich Graham, USAF (Ret.)

    in Military

Take 1,000 aviation historians/enthusiasts and ask them to list 10 favorite airplanes, and there is a 100% chance that on everyone's list will be one or more of the famous Lockheed "Blackbird" family of aircraft. Beautiful, sleek, clandestine, extremely fast, and even sexy to the eye, the Blackbirds were among the most iconic and well-known airplanes of the Cold War. Beginning with the CIA requirement to replace the U-2 "Dragon Lady" in the 1950s, Clarence "Kelly" Johnson and his famous team at the Lockheed " Skunk Works" created a family of airplanes whose performance has never been equaled since being retired. Starting with the single-seat A-12 for the Central Intelligence Agency in the early 1960s, Johnson and his Skunk Works team created airplanes that went higher, faster, were "stealthy," and were light years ahead of anything else in the sky. Sadly, in the end, it was not any enemy capabilities that killed the Blackbirds, but high operating costs and an indifferent Congress that failed to see the worth of keeping them flying. Today, Blackbirds are the pride and joy of museums across America, where they stand as testament to the national requirements of gathering intelligence over denied territory during the Cold War.

To learn more about the Lockheed Blackbirds, the people who flew and maintained them, the clandestine missions they conducted during the Cold War, and the amazing technologies behind them , join military historian, author and journalist John D. Gresham (@greshamj01) for Military Monday (#MilitaryMonday on the Writestream Radio Network (@Writestream)) at 1 P.M. Eastern time. His guest this week will be retired U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, along with Blackbird and Dragon Lady driver Col. Richard Graham. Graham is the author of four books on the Blackbirds with Zenith Press (@Zenith_Press).

Promote Yourself! Promotion, an author's best friend.

    in Books

You think the hard part is done?  No, sorry.  Promotion is the difficult part of being an author.  Learn to promote to be successful all the way around.  It's shame to spend so much time writing a book and no one knows about it.

Johnny Strozier: Keeping It Real, Feb. 28

    in Politics Progressive

"Johnny Strozier Keeping It Real" is live and on air right now and every Saturday at 9pm EST. Dave Koch would say that Johnny "re-invented himself." Johnny Strozier is keeping it real on "Human Rights Demand" channel. Call-in number (347)857-3293.  Strozier was a Georgia inmate for 46 years, from the age of 10 in 1968 until 2013. He kept doing things that lengthened his sentence until he said he had a conversion experience while behind bars. Now he encourages released inmates and youths to think right and act right so that things for them will go right.

Please gather your teens and let them be "scared straight." Call people who are reentering society, also, and tell them they should hear Johnny Strozier keeping it real! Despite ten years in solitary confinement and other cruelty that Johnny experienced, he is not bitter but interested in helping others to avoid his fate.

Lost Arts Radio Show #8 - Special Guests Alan Phillip & Dr. Rebecca Carley

    in Health

Alan Phillips, J.D. (www.vaccinerights.com) is the only attorney in the U.S. whose practice is focused solely on vaccine exemptions and waivers. He advises individuals, families, attorneys, groups and organizations throughout the U.S. on vaccine exemption and waiver rights; supports legislative initiatives aimed at expanding vaccine freedom of choice; is published internationally on vaccine health and legal matters; has appeared at rallies, conferences throughout the U.S., and hosts two weekly radio shows discussing vaccine rights issues. Alan is also a regularly featured writer for Natural News, GreenMedInfo.com, Liberty Roundtable, and the Pastoral Medical Association.

Dr. Rebecca (Roczen) Carley received her Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound, attended medical school (and received the Samuel L. Kountz award for clinical excellence in surgery at graduation), and trained to be a general surgeon at State University of New York at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. Dr. Carley also worked as an attending Emergency Room physician at Kings County Medical Center in Brooklyn (which is the primary training affiliate for Downstate students), and is the largest hospital (and busiest trauma center) in the United States.

In recent weeks, we have witnessed the roll out of a massive promotion of vaccination by government, media and their partner corporations in the U.S. and elsewhere. The clear goal is a massive increase in the number of vaccines being administered to the public and especially to children, the demonization of those who choose to avoid vaccines, the goal of forced vaccination, and the increasingly common suggestion that those who question the religion of vaccination "science" should be put in prison for daring to question its validity.

    in Religion

    Episode #20150228

On this special, two-hour edition of Cross Encounters Radio:

    1. The guys discuss the recent arrest of a street preacher outside a Southern California DMV and Tony's subsequent article about the incident. Both the officer and the street preacher were wrong. But the street preacher brought reproach upon Jesus and His gospel.

    2. Getting arrested while open-air preaching is not automatically a case of Christian persecution.

    3. Hee-Haw Church. You'll just have to listen.

    4. Rich and Chris will hit Tony with another "Always Ready" scenario.

An American History Tribute to Michael Jackson

    in Spirituality

Jackson was born 29 August 1958, in Gary, Indiana, to an African-American working-class family. His father, Joseph Jackson, had been a guitarist but had put aside his musical aspirations to provide for his family as a crane operator. Believing his sons had talent, he molded them into a musical group in the early 1960s. At first, the Jackson Family performers consisted of Michael's older brothers Tito, Jermaine, and Jackie. Michael joined his siblings when he was five, and emerged as the group's lead vocalist. He showed remarkable range and depth for such a young performer, impressing audiences with his ability to convey complex emotions. Older brother Marlon also became a member of the group, which evolved into the The Jackson 5.

First taking to the stage at the age of just 11 as part of his family's gig The Jackson 5, Michael Jackson grew quickly into the superstardom which would both reward and plague his life. An apparently unstoppable creative and financial force through the highs of his career, 'The King of Pop' struggled with a confused and turbulent private life that was often made appallingly public. In the wake of his shock death though, it is for his artistry - and not his controversies - that he will be remembered and sadly missed.
