In my upcoming book The Three Pillars of Strength: Increasing Your Physical Mental, and Spiritual Fitness, I discuss the 3 distinct bodytypes: ectomorph, endomorph, and mesomorph. Each body type has it's own shape, metabolic rate and responds to exercise a certain way. Knowing your body type helps you in several ways:
It will help you choose the exercises that are right for YOU, not your best friend or the person next to you in your bootcamp class;
It will also help keep your expectations realistic as well as what to expect when you start your fitness journey.
It will help prevent you from comparing yourself to others with differentbody types
Join me on Blogtalk Radio and let's determine what are the best exercises for you!
Join Cherise, George, Scott and special guest Luisa Martinez for a special hour of DSMA Live.
Luisa Martinez is a 36 year old professional living with diabetes. Her journey began with a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes and a complete turnaround in lifestyle. Luisa took her diabetes life into her own hands by eating right, exercising, and taking her prescribed medicine.
Noticing a constant feeling of exhaustion, Luisa went back to her doctors to see if something was the matter. Although she was exercising, losing weight, eating right, and doing all her doctors had told her to do, she still felt tired. Her new doctor felt she was overmedicated and suggested a Gastric Sleeve procedure which she did ended up having.
She is now off of all medication, continues to live a full life, and is considered “pre-diabetic.” Her desire to share her story and dispel any myths about the procedure is her motivation for speaking out publicly.
Join me as I sit down in conversation with Dr. Karin Hehenberger, about her personal experience with Type 1 Diabetes and Pancreas transplants.
Dr. Karin Hehenberger is a Type 1 diabetic and the founder of Lyfebulb, an educational and social platform dedicated to helping those with chronic illnesses lead better lives. Her research focused on diabetes and its complications, an area in which she has continued to focus throughout her career.
Cheryl Farley is a nutritionist, wellness coach, cooking instructor and a passionate advocate for natural healing. Cheryl will share her background and her stories of success as she helps people to heal their type 2 diabetes without counting carbohydrate exchanges or calories.
