Episode 41, Dealing With The Control Freak In Your Life

    in Self Help

Letting go...it's so much easier said than done. We attempt to let go of anger, of fears, of past hurts—when the truth is—those feelings are valid and must be felt in order to work through them, not swept under the rug. The real crux of the matter is CONTROL. Who hasn't met a control freak? Maybe you have one of two right there within your family. If not, there are some stomping around your office for sure! Perhaps you're even a control freak yourself. Join us today, as we speak to Daniel Miller, author of the award winning book Losing Control, Finding Serenity. Listen in as Danny and I discuss how to spot a control freak, some common myths around control, the relationship between trust and control, and much, much more. If you're ready for more peace in your life, don't miss today's show...it's all about ditching control to gain your peace!

Are You Involved In A Church Or A Cult?

    in Christianity

There are a lot of churches who act like they teach God's word but use mind controlling tactics on the membership. It is extremely sad how some preachers and some members dominate others to do what they want them to do. I have been in situations from my last church in Little Rock, Ar. where I was put down because of who I was. I've been verbally attacked by two of the church's pastors. One told me he was going to slap me if I ever so called "read" my sermon. I've been talked about by a pastor in front of the class I was taking. I've been questioned on how I praise God. I've been lied on from certain members about how I live my life. 19 years of being a member of that church. After I left, the question was raised; "Why did I stay so long?" God was teaching me even though I was in the fire, I came out with no smell of smoke.

Are you told not to question what is being taught because the leaders are honest and want the best for you must trust them? Are you told that you must be with a certain group to be saved and not by Jesus Christ? Are you made to feel your failures, your performances are not up to par for the bibles standard? Are you being rebuked for turning down certain ministry assignments or telling the leadership you are not “comfortable” being involved in such ministries? Does leadership put down others to make themselves look better, calling themselves righteous and others unrighteous? Does the leadership defend all that they do even though it can be harmful or wrong? Does the leadership say things about you in a sermon that was confidential?

If questions like these answer YES, GET OUT NOW!!!!!!!!

Unwelcome Guests #724 "Calling a SCAD, a SCAD"

    See: http://www.unwelcomeguests.net/UNWELCOME_GUESTS

PARTIAL SUMMARY: Our main talk this week is a 90 minute lecture by Professor Lance deHaven-Smith. His lecture is relaxed and he takes occasional questions from the audience. He begins his talk by outlining the difficulties he has had finding US publishers for his work. While peer reviewers rarely challenged its quality, US journals in particular were loathe to publish it, apologetically turning him away. He explains this by its forthrightness, and he names Chris Hedges and Noam Chomsky as two individuals who while they do not shy away from drawing attention to the misdeeds of the leaders of the US government, are nevertheless reluctant to explicitly call them crimes - never mind to face the truth of false flag attacks. Many government leaders, he says are not merely morally deficient, they are criminals and murderers - and we should face up to that.

International Sunday School Acts 18:1-11 & 18-21 Wk 11-29-15 by Grover Weaver

    in Christianity

Hello everybody this is the Grover Weaver Ministries.org Radio Show broadcast of the International Sunday School Lesson for the week of November 29, 2015 from the Book of the Activities of the Apostles chapter 18 verses 1-11 & 18-21 with the theme being ‘’Speak without fear”. I am Grover Weaver your minister and sunday school teacher welcome to the class. And, a Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Paul in his Marsh Hills message preached Jesus and Him crucified and we are the offspring of a loving God who will raise us from the dead. In Him we move and have our being. Our God is a God not made with man hands. The Godhead is not like gold, or silver, or stone, carved by art and man’s device.

And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked; and others said, we will hear thee again of this matter so Paul departed from among them.

Paul packed up his stuff and shook the dust off his feet and garments and came to Corinth, being ‘’pressed in the spirit, he testified Jesus is the Christ. In the preacher’s travels God ordered the ‘’footsteps’’ of Paul and Aquila’s to cross paths. Being a tentmaker it was a joy to met another tentmaker, they started a small business of making tents. Their crossing paths were indeed a economic blessing as well as a SPIRITUAL one: Aquila was added to the ministry. Paul became his mentor and taught him and his wife Priscilla who were ordered out of Italy by Claudius because of their ethnicity to becoming the first couple of christian workers in bringing the lost to a saving knowledge of Christ.
