MANiC Monkeys is a great 4 pc. band with so many originals and we know a lot of covers, too! Ripping guitar leads, fun percussion, super harmonies... American Rock! We've been playing around town and hosting Open Mic Nights. We want to play more!

The first five minutes of this show are messed up technically but the rest is fine. K Radio is on location tonight at our new home in the Wrong Turn Tavern. My special guest this week will be Lori Townsend, the news director of Alaska Public Media (KAKM-TV/KSKA 91.1/APRN). Lori is also an ace radio announcer and reporter, a former tavern owner, a mom, fantasy fisher-woman, and a terrific conversationalist.
We will discuss Lori's radio career, our writings (a few words about the Alaska Writers Guild Conference), how our AK summer is going...and the top ten restaurants in Kotzebue...plus I'll spend some time talking about Deacon's Crossbow.
Tonight we continue the thread on the Langue Verte/Green language of the Argonauts.
I apologize to listeners as we had a complete blackout power outage out west on the high plains and had no power for hours last night and had to reschedule the program and try again. We had power go out about midnight and storms and so power transformers taken out in the hard weather.
Did medieval Paris really have its own underworld monarch, the king of the beggars? Is it historically true that, for a joke, King Louis XI went so far as to make this arch-criminal king of France for twenty four hours? Was the beggar king a spare time poet, as well as a soldier of such ability that he saved his city from capture during his brief reign? Was there ever, in fact, a man behind the legend of the Vagabond King?
Tonight we continue from the Maze vs. Labyrinth series and look at the encoded slang of the Adepts and Alchemists and Magi in olde Europe.
See this link to see All Foole's Day portrayed in the 1975 film version of the Bertolt Brecht play The Life of Galileo at 1:55.
