Six Steps To Building A Remarkable Workplace

    in Business

The TalentCulture #TChat Show is back live on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, from 7-8 pm ET (4-5 pm PT).

Last week we talked about the three elements of a clear and compelling business vision, and this week we're going to talk about the six steps to building a remarkable workplace.

Nice segue, don't you think? It's the people that guide and propel the workplace, right?

If it were only so easy. From this week's guest's experience opening a shop a month as part of her organization’s UK start-up, she found that 20% of strategies lead to 80% of retention and profit and none of them are vague platitudes like "be nice to your people."

No, they are all practical, immediately applicable, step-by-step processes, and we'll tackle all six tonight on the show.

Join TalentCulture #TChat Show co-founders and co-hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn about about the six steps to building a remarkable workplace with this week’s guest: Mandy Johnson, best-selling business author, active speaker, advisor and executive educator.

Thank you to all our TalentCulture sponsors and partners: TalentWise, Dice, Hootsuite, SAP/SuccessFactors, IBM Smarter Workforce, CareerBuilder, PeopleFluent and HRmarketer Insight.

Different Ways to Discipline a Child

    in Blogs

I know this is a touchy subject, but I feel is important for us to speak about it. Being a parent is hard, kids don’t come with a set of instructions. We as parent tend to go by the way we were brought up, by what we see other parents do or by what we feeling at the moment to implement discipline. I was raised very old school, you never disrespect an elder, listen and respect your older siblings, and must follow rules no matter what. If you failed to do so, there was consequences or a butt wiping. I remember saying to myself I will never be like that with my kids. As I got older I realized why the rules and discipline were so important. When I had my kids I raised them very similar to the way I was raised. They didn’t like it just like I dint like it but they now say Im glad you were the way you were with us. They actually see why there’s a need for a parent to enforce discipline and rules. I decided to ask a few people on their opinion on how to discipline a child. Is funny how the ones that were older believe that the old fashion way was better. But now due to the government parents have their hands tied on the way to discipline their kids Sent from my iPad

    Mana Talk

    in Politics

    Aloha!

Myself and many others do believe it is our purpose to make sure our earth is preserved and better taken care of for all that live upon it now and on into the future.   Besides working my regular 9 to 5 job, my other full time job is to do my very best to make sure that  everyone’s lives are far more enjoyable and eventually have  far less pain and suffering.  Sadly, today and in the future we are still going to have idiots running cities, states and nations, morons running factories and corporations abusing their power upon their employees as those employees have become slaves once again.  There is a better path and it takes viable knowledge.  I believe that we’ve got to get the needed knowledge to all those that are being led by fear into hate, lies upon falsities and unprovable laid claims.  Within the United States there is only one last true power, and that is our power to vote, and that is slowly being stripped away from us as well.  We’ve got to retain this power and use it wisely as we continue to evolve as an intelligent and decent species.

In recent years the ultra-rich have taken over AM radio and made most media and cable outlets their slaves…  The majority of the 1% have become sickened with greed and power thus using religion as an excuse to do their hideous and heinous acts upon their fellow man and our mother earth.

Help me get on to AM radio:

What Do You Want? - Episode 127 - The Imposter Trap

    in Self Help

Do you ever feel that you are an imposter in your life?  I know I have so many times and it is an interesting fact that others I have spoken with over the years feel the same way.  So today we are going to talk about it and how it affects your life and creating all that you want in it.  Hot topic and the perfect way to start the swing into spring.

OK, I know spring is 3 weeks away but it still is a great way to begin March.  Which is coming in like a lamb, which is much better that the lion it usually is.

So join in on the fun.

    WHO'S TO BLAME: CPAC Seriously?

    in Politics

Issue:  CPAC is like one big conservative satire. I am pretty sure it is not real.  Who's to Blame?

Man CPAC always brings the laughs.   Conservatives candidates seem to be willing to make fools out of themselves there. This year an idiot speaker told a wife beating joke and another speaker rambled on about beatnicks with STDs being the greatest threat to man kind. And then there's the new shiny 22 year old barbie who is changing the definition of woman.

Is it the speakers and candidates who cannot be taken seriously ?

Or is it the members of CPAC (the people who the candidates perform for) who are really the clowns?

And why do they even do polls; they are the punchline to the this whole comedy?

Let's face it, does anyone take conservatives seriously anymore?

"Business on the Beach Retreat" Featuring Lauri Flaquer

    in Christianity

Greetings to all God's people thank you for your support in the ministry.I pray a divine blessing over your family and it is my prayer that every one of you will discover your purpose. My guest this evening will share an amazing break through for Authors everywhere.Have you ever written a book only to discover the book is not moving like you had hoped.Lauri Flaquer will share her knowledge as she coaches and traines Authors,  Maybe you believe you have a story in you that needs to be told. Then "Business on the Beach" retreats just might be the thing you've been waiting for.
Unlike many programs that help you write the book and end, we offer a one year program that helps you with the follow through you need to actually write a winning book and get it out there. After all, what good is writing a book that no one reads? Many authors make the mistake of just sitting down getting words on paper. What would make more sense would be to get a clear picture of your reader and create a strategy to get your book in their hands before you spend countless hours at the computer.

The next Business on the Beach Retreat wil be in the Dominican Republic May 3 - 9, 2015.

Space is limited to just 10 people, To learn more please contact Lauir Flaquer at

Get Real! with Mark and Kally - Eating Healthy While Traveling

    in Travel

In the old days of traveling for me, we relied on fast food chains, processed foods, and bad sandwiches.  This was considered normal eating for us, but not every day. When we decided to change our lifestyle and eating habits, I had no clue how to travel without bringing the whole kit 'n caboodle including the kitchen sink.

It's tough to stick to your usual and healthy diet while traveling, but it's not impossible. You barely have time to sleep, let alone think about how you will find healthy foods to eat, but there are some steps you can take to eat right while you're away. By taking a few extra minutes to adequately prepare for your trip and making wise choices when you are on the road, you can fuel your body and get the energy you need to power through your busy days. Don't miss our tips for eating healthy on the road.   You'll find you can save money as well and enjoy the local foods.

I know when we travel and eat well we stay healthy, feel great and have more fun.
