So many years ago, The South was looked as inferior to Hip Hop. When Atlanta, Miami, and Houston said FUCKIT the landscaped changed. Even though songs like Planet Rock from New York inspired The Booty Shake Craze in the South, there was a sound coming out of Houston. Then Atlanta. From M.C Shy D, to OUTKAST, from Luke to Trick Daddy, from Geto Boys to SUC. Now these dudes from Down South nowadays are looking like chicks, Is there a chance for real Hip Hop to return to the south?

Damon Dash was on The Breakfast Club about 2-3 weeks ago. There was a conversation about being your own boss or working for someone else. It was brought to my attention, when I watch the interview, forward to me by a Brotha, they had with Dr.Boyce Watkins. I heard them mention the interview and it seems as though he was brought in to clean up what he had said. He was speaking about having, "f-you money". He understands what he was saying, but for those who are not in his situation should save to reach that.
I did not have a chance to view Dash's interview, but another Brotha forward it to me. He was on point! I did not get offended when he made the statement, "calling somebody your boss, is like calling that person your daddy". He is correct, no matter if you like his delivery or not. Black people need to start developing this mentality or instill it in your kids.
Amy Alkon's Advice Goddess Radio: "Nerd Your Way To A Better Life!" with the best brains in science.
*"Best of" replay tonight.
Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adams, obviously, is not a scientist. But he thinks and views his experiences like a scientist and his wisdom is well-supported.
For example, Adams found that it isn't goals that are the key to success, but what he calls "systems."
And Adams advises, based on his own steady stream of failures in business, that "Everything you want in life is in that bubbling vat of failure. The trick is to get the good stuff out."
As a cartoonist, he thinks of himself as a "professional simplifier." That's what he does in his just-published book, How To Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big, and simplifying for all of us what it takes to succeed in business and be happy in life is what he does on tonight's not-to-be-missed show.
