"When a human being lives a life in which he or she enjoys freedom, justice and equality, awareness arises and one can focus on selfless giving - you qualify to be a parent because you are capable of the unconditional love that a parent has for a child.
But it is extremely difficult for Black people to get on and remain on this level, because we do not have freedom, justice and equality. We must give too much energy to the survival issues, which pull us down. This is why we cannot ignore our condition. Our freedom - or lack of - directly affects our ability to experience love and happiness in our community." Truth has come to you~

Sometimes it truly is better to be lucky than good!
While everyone is pointing towards the pass interference no call on T.Y. Hilton that Malcolm Jenkins went on to intercept, let's face it, the Philadelphia Eagles would never be 2-0 if LeSean McCoy doesn't pick up a 3rd-and-15 and Darren Sproles didn't decide to become superman. And yes we're talking about that extraordinary, pinballing 19-yard score where a mere 5-foot-8 man broke three tackles near the goal line.
When Cody Parkey's game-winning kick went through the uprights for a 30-27 Eagles win over the Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia became the first team in NFL history to win their first two games of the year after trailing by at least 14 points in the second half of each contest.

Nothing is too far-fetched for the Doc., whether it be linguistics, local flora and fauna, local dishes, old-time remedies, and much more.
Come, join in the fun! Call-in with your questions and comments! Attempt to fool him!
To give you a running start, I'm going to let you have the call-in number in advance. It's (347) 237-4374
Note: Quelbe ("kwell bay") music is the official music of the Virgin Islands and Stanley (on flute) and his band, Stanley and the Ten Sleepless Knights (TSK), are the Kings of Quelbe. Also called "scratch" or "fungi", quelbe is a form of folk story and is the real deal when it comes to island music. The quadrille dancers turn out when Stanley and TSK are playing. The combination of his music and the costumed dancers are just great to watch.
Mr. Stanley has graciously granted us permission to play his song, "General Buddhoe" as our theme song. Contact Stanley by mail at Stanley Jacobs, PO Box 411, Christiansted, St. Croix, VI 00821 * Telephone: 340-773-2378. Be sure to view TSK on YouTube.

Butterfly Evolution welcomes author Aaron Jordan to discuss this hot topic which has flooded the media following the first released video showing former Baltimore Ravens running back, Ray Rice, dragging his wife out of an Atlantic City casino elevator. A second video, released only a few weeks ago, showed the actual punch that left Rice's then fiance, Janay, unconscience. With us also will be two other motivational speakers, Anthony Collins and Trent Williams. Trust me, you don't want to miss what these three fiery men have to say about abuse. Aaron will also be discussing his upcoming event Brooklyn, NY October, 4, 2014. Tune in for more details. Listen online or call (818)691-7406.
"It’s very difficult to make sweet lemonade out of a tart tasting lemon."
~ Trent Williams
If your past relationships come back to haunt you every “single” time you meet a man. Guess what? You’re stuck. Which mean those past relationships live “rent free” in your head and space. There are still great guys out there, you just have to take off the blinders.
In my opinion women that constantly complain about not finding a good man, should start to look at self. Maybe it’s time to turn that mirror inward. Self – discovery is a very beautiful thing.
Join the conversation at 6pm (CST) / 7pm (EST) as we take a closer look "Tart tasting Lemons" (In search of true love)
