Have you ever thought about what it means to be a kind person? According to a google web search, the definition of ‘kindness’ is: ‘the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate’. How often do you think about kindness in your everyday life? Once a day, twice a day, monthly, once a year when Christmas and the holidays roll around? The reason today’s show is all about kindness is because I noticed an unsettling trend of selfishness on the rise as well as threats to America, what with the ISIS threat to bomb the people of NYC Times Square just yesterday. This brings this topic to the forefront of today’s society, because if we are unwilling to be kind to one another now, what will we do when a terrorist threat becomes all too real? We don’t want mass panic in the streets or the rise of the rich over the poor, we want equality among all men and kindness truly is a virtue in this case. When you act with kindness towards your fellow men, you create a community of mutual benefactors since it takes all kinds of people working together to get things done. The example or metaphor I use to give myself love in order to give love to another is the 'desert island' example: Imagine if you were a nurse on a desert island and everyone was dying of thirst, including yourself. To whom would you give the water to and why? This is what we will be discussing on today's show so I hope you tune in!

In today’s society, we’re seeing more and more self proclaimed “women of God/ virtuous women”, dating/having sex with thugs and known drug dealers. A great example of this trend is shown in the recent movie, “I’m in Love With a Church Girl”, starring Ja Rule. Tune into “The Dedan Tolbert Show” tonight at 9:00pm EST for a rebroadcast of our in depth analyzation of the movie and a discussion on why so many women claim to live for the Lord, yet choose men who clearly aren’t doing so.
