On tonight's episode Yara will be talking to Chuninchi, author of A Gangsta's Girl!
Since the release of her 2004 debut novel A Gangster’s Girl, bestselling author Chunichi has gone on to pen several additional bestselling novels. With more than a half of a million books in print, Chunichi’s talent as a writer, combined with her consistent and successful track record speaks for itself. In addition to her hard work and relentless drive, Chunichi’s rise to the top of the literary world can easily be attributed to the fact that she has lived through the same fast lifestyle of sex, money, drugs, cars, and designer clothes, that she writes about in her books. The former quiet southern girl from Alabama had her life transformed when she moved to Virginia Beach in her teens. Dubbed the Urban Diva of literature because of her striking beauty, Chunichi’s stunning looks and Scorpio sex appeal was evident since her teenage years. She instantly became a magnet for attracting ballers who elevated her social status while introducing her to an intoxicating high-end lifestyle. That lifestyle transformed the sexy seductress into a gun toting Bonnie who was trained to fire for her Clyde. Chunichi’s fast pace lifestyle soon began to mimic that of a vixen as she spent countless nights in some of the top clubs in the country as well as countless days being the spoiled female darling of several top pro athletes and entertainers. Consequently as Chunichi matured, she decided to make a change in the way she was living. Never forgetting her past but making sure to leave the fast life behind, Chunichi went on to pursue and attain her bachelor’s degree in nursing, while simultaneously putting her real life experiences on paper.

About: Noel Yovovich lives and works in Evanston, Illinois, but draws much of her inspiration from her childhood in rural Florida. The locale was popular as an over-winter and retirement spot for traveling circus and carney performers. This colorful beginning was followed by study culminating in a B.A. in Fine Arts from the University of Chicago, and the professional pursuit of art ever since. Landscapes and intimate still-lives predominate in intricate jewelry, much of which uses carefully-controlled anodization of titanium, combined with sterling silver, plus gold, copper, and/or stones, to produce works with surprising detail and illusion of depth. Noël Yovovich has taught teens and adults for many years at the Evanston Art Center as well as the Bead & Button Show, BeadFests, and schools around the country. President of the Chicago Metal Arts Guild, contributing editor of Art Jewelry Magazine and Lapidary Journal/ Jewelry Artist Magazine.

Natalie Bellini, BSN, RN, CDE, has had type 1 diabetes since she was a young child. Within a year of finishing nursing school, she started to care for people with diabetes, focusing first on diabetes in pregnancy then pediatrics and insulin requiring adults. She has worked on the medical side of camps for children and teens in Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania. She has spoken nationally and internationally as an expert in both working with teens and their parents with diabetes as well as infusion set choice, usage and maintenance. Her fundamental goal when developing the teenage curriculum for Children with Diabetes conferences is that each and every teen that attends finds a passion in life and pursues it.
Jim Vail was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1986 at age 19 while he was a sophomore at the State University of New York at Fredonia. Jim graduated with a degree in Media Communications and was a producer for CNBC Business news in Washington, D.C., for 9 years all the while wrestling with the unpredictability of short and intermediate acting insulin. After finally going on a pump in October of 2001 and 'getting his life back,' Jim began volunteering at CWD in the teen program where he quickly became one of the Program Coordinators. He's worn, tested or personally used virtually every product represented in the Exhibit Hall. Jim has recently accepted the position of Director of Development and Communications for CWD.
