A few days before Malaysian Flight 17 departed from the Netherlands, an 11-year-old boy who was booked on the flight became increasingly agitated. He began asking his mother, who was not traveling with him, about what would happen if the plane crashed. This wasn't his first flight; he was a well-travelled boy. He seemed terrified to board the plane. His mother is now questioning whether or not her son was receiving some kind of psychic information about the upcoming crash, and she has to live with the knowledge that he may have known all along that his time on Earth was coming to an end. Premonitions like this have been documented many times in history, whether it was Abe Lincoln sensing an assassination, people who didn't go to work at the World Trade Center on 9/11, or the people who decided not to board the Titanic. Why do we receive premonitions about upcoming disasters? Why do some people receive them, and others don't? We'll be talking about this live tonight at 7 pm EST.

Read more : http://www.ehow.com/info The fact that your child is now an adult in the eyes of the law does not mean that she no longer needs parental guidance. The late teen years are a time when teens must make decisions about who they want to be as adults.
Becoming an adult is a process that is taking longer and longer, and most parents find that they still play the role of parent well into their child's 20s. Continue to provide emotional support and guidance to your child for the next several years. Child psychologist Richard Weissbourd has argued that a strong and close relationship with a parent can help children navigate the transition into adulthood and full independence.

What does each generation have to offer another? Can we as elders learn from the babies and teens and young adults? What can we offer the younger generation? Do you take the time to really listen to what someone older or younger has to say?
Maybe if we all slowed down for a bit and really listened we might actually learn something or be able to guide someone who really needs the guidance.
