Immigration might not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of issues affecting the LGBTQ community but it has a deep impact on the lives of many LGBTQ families especially immigrants in our community who face unique and often daunting challenges.
Immigration equality demands fair and equal execution of the laws and rights of non-citizens regardless of nationality or where they come from. LGBTQ individuals are being detained when no crime has been committed with reports of transgender persons being isolated weeks on end while awaiting a court appearance or deportation. In over 77 countries around the world being gay is illegal. For many who are undocumented and those seeking asylum, being deported is the equivalent to a death sentence. The National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR) has been advancing the civil and human rights of LGBTQ people and their families through litigation, legislation, policy, and public education since 1977.
America is a country built on the immigrant experience of many cultures, nationalities and ethnicities but for LGBTQ people seeking freedom and opportunities the pathways are hindered by roadblocks of inequality, transphobia, homophobia and often racism. Are you or your partner an immigrant, undocumented, or looking for help maneuvering the immigration laws? Do you want to learn how you can be a part of the fight for immigration equality? Join us for this important conversation with Maya Rupert.

We are honored to welcome Aunty Anita, host of the Aunty Anita Show here on BlogTalk Radio, for an in-depth discussion of an overlooked but extremely important civil rights movement.

Amerika Dead Justice is up front today on Prophecy Headline News as many in America are deceived over what is going on. Medvedev warns of Second Cold war as Russia arms Iran, tests new ICBM, and moves alongside China against the USA. Today the iron is hot and the brand is chaos as the wound cauterizes; but the infection of defection continues.

This is the 387,390,390,930th time I'm going to open my face and say we need expanded comprehensive sex education.
This time around, I have very nice, very young person to provide much needed insight and dramatically improve the delivery of the idea.
Now this is the Sunday Show, So we'll have a nice walking start and work our way into the sprint.
Folks will be able to call in at 347-857-3937
We'll have a 21 minute class on consent with Phoenix Loco, the teacher.
We'll take a break after that for callers to jump in and comment.
From there, We'll have a little talky talk on Romanticism that kind of naturally spirals into "race" relations because when she and I get on the phone, that's just what happens.
Outing Post-Transition: Last week, ESPN's Grantland ran an article about trans golf-club inventor Essay Anne Vanderbilt (Dr. V). The lengthy article used her trans identity to sensationalize the story; and, Dr. V committed suicide in the midst of the writer researching the story.
Tonight on The Strong Stance, Melvin Whitehead will join me as we reflect on how we feel about ESPN's handling (or lack of) on the situation. We're also going to talk about outing/disclosure and transphobia.
Yes, the gloves are off, emotions are checked at the door; and, we've got the labels on the table. We're taking The Strong Stance. Are you?
