    Transformational Leadership

    in Business

We’re at a time when we are moving into a new world of leadership. “Everywhere – in the worlds of sports, music, politics and business – we encounter people who make and leave a remarkable impression on others. They charm and captivate people, influence their mood and even succeed in altering their personal values.” (INME, 2013)  Emerging leaders are young, and particularly the female leaders are struggling to fit into an old world paradigm of management.

Join me with my guest, Heather Henderson-Hill who empowers women moving into their first leadership or middle manager role to shift their way of thinking to allow them to develop into a space to be an inspired leader.

    Sustainable or Transformational Leadership?

    in Management

Transformational leadership has been a staple  in the leadership development field for decades. Is it still relevant? With the advent of a awakened interest in nature, the 'green' movement, and the pressing need for businesses to grapple with sustainability issues, has sustainable leadership come into its own? Are these competing approaches or complementary?

The African American Transformational Leadership Summit

    in Self Help

The African American Economic Recovery Think Tank founding members Stanley L. Scott and Edward Exson Sr.,  commission this 2014 and beyond Agenda. As compassionate leaders our lifetime goal to find and direct the strength of character and self-empowerment within the African American community; we will address the key components needed to achieve this holistic transformational agenda. This paradigm shift has a millennium affect that will endowed African American families and communities to achieve full equality in America and the world.

"History shows that it does not matter who is in power... those who have not learned to do for themselves and have to depend solely on others never obtain any more rights or privileges in the end than they did in the beginning." -- Dr. Carter G. Woodson

“African Americans have forgotten the hard road of slavery our ancestor's traveled to get us to this point. It's a shame we have allowed the values that once strengthened us to be replaced with materialistic consumption and the "I" mentality embraced by class division. We who assume we have attained equality in America are "stuck on stupid" and blocking the way for true equality in education, healthcare prevention and prosperity for the majority of African Americans.”

    #AtlantaTeachers : The Stiffest Sentence?

    in Motivation

Friend, two years after dozens of people were indicted over a widespread cheating scandal in the Atlanta public school system, a jury found several former teachers and educators guilty of conspiring to change student test scores.   The verdicts close a dark chapter for the Atlanta city school systems but opened another chapter that suggests the sentences were too stiff! – which leads our question of the day – Who Received The Stiffest Sentence?  Helping us with that is our special guest – Ruth Rocker McMullin, partner in Mull & McMullin, LLC (http://www.mullandmcmullin.com/), an Atlanta-based law firm.  Ruth represented one of the defendants in case and will join us our host Eric J Powell with a unique perspective on onCUE! Radio Sunday night @6pm CST (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/oncue).

    S.O.S: Respond at an #EmptyTomb?

    in Motivation

Friend, we recognize the most important event known to mankind – death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  The empty tomb was God’s response to Saving Our Souls (S.O.S)... Imagine arriving at empty tomb and hearing “He is not here”…  How to Respond to an Empty Tomb?  -- which is the question of the day.  Helping us with that is our special guest – Rev. Wiley Thornton, Pastor of Perfecting Holiness Non-Denominational Church.  He responded by founding S.O.S (Save Our Sons), to build strong Christ-centered character and self-esteem in young leaders.  He will join us our host Eric J Powell as they answer that question of the day – how to Respond at an Empty Tomb? on onCUE! Radio Sunday night @6pm CST (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/oncue).

    #Selma50 : Crossing Edmund Pettus?

    in Self Help

    Friend,

Thousands gather this weekend in Selma, Alabama, to mark the 50th anniversary of "Bloody Sunday."  Fifty years ago (#Selma50), the nation watched as peaceful civil rights demonstrators were savagely beaten by police as they crossed the Edmund Pettus Bridge.  If this bloody crossing shepherded the landmark Voting Rights Act, what does Crossing Edmund Pettus shepherd us today? -- which is our question of the day.

So please join our host Eric J Powell on onCUE! Radio Sunday night @6pm CST (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/oncue).
