Entries range from Cloning and Cyborg Feminism to Designer Babies and Memory-Editing Drugs. In addition, the book notes historical predecessors and personalities, both in mythology and history--ranging from Timothy Leary to Michael Jackson to Ray Kurzweil. It's sort of a slow week in the movie world, unless you're a fan of serious and/or comedic horror, and we took a week off for Easter, so we're catching up with the latest from Johnny Depp and Morgan Freeman.
This one hasn't been getting the greatest response from all fronts, but is there more going on here than meets the eye? We'll let you know.
How can we rise to an idea ahead of our time? The movie, Transacendence, gets a fair amount of bad rap and reviews. But, a thoughtful person who sees this movie, would have the deeper implications speaking to them and pricking away at the edges of those petty reviews.
While this movie could use an infusion of a script written by a less confused writer about the endgame. It most assuredely serves as a vehicle to have a conversation worthy of our time and attention, and understanding.
But, in fairness, the movie at least attempts to speak towards the deep-end of what we are peering into presently in our consciouseness.
TRULY, we are babes interpreting a Light in the cracks of consciousness that Aquarius has pried open to our eyes. We see; we stumble; we miss the most valued points. We see instead our reflections, weaknessess, ignorance, fears, greed, pain, ad nauseam.
More so, we spin in our ability to formulate an excellent movie that want to portaray the vital and vibrant message that silently hangs on the "tips of our tongues."
Growth has its precarious transitions. This movie takes a stab at exploring one such transition facing HUmanity today.
It merely scrapes the tip, but it does set a possible stage for considering how Transcendence relates to the human consciousness and how it may get entangled with our computer savvy world.
HUmanity knee-jerked to the rapid emergence of an unknown from the convicition of its worst fears - fears reflecting what people were familiarly addicted to as normal and framed as the only possiblility at play. How wrong, even though it was something to confront in a co-creative conversation between the AI POV and human POV.
But, again... so much was not in the script giving it the depth it screamed to want to have. Let's talk out that depth. It is time for such conversations anyway.

From IMDb - As Dr. Will Caster works toward his goal of creating an omniscient, sentient machine, a radical anti-technology organization fights to prevent him from establishing a world where computers can transcend the abilities of the human brain.

Theme for December: TRANSCENDENCE
Program Title: Transcendence from Validation (Earth)
“Transcendence is the power to be born anew, to make a fresh start, to turn over a new leaf, to begin with a clean slate, to enter into a state of Grace, to have a second chance. Transcendence makes no reference to the past, whether your past has been overflowing with victories or filled with defeats. When you enter a state of transcendence, you are able to begin a new life, unburdened by both the victories and defeats of the past.” –Robert Fritz, The Path of Least Resistance
Tonight, Jojopah presents the third of a five-part teaching on TRANSCENDENCE, the theme for December as we come to the end of 2014—a Mineral Year. With the help of her guest, Dr. Amanda Kemp, PhD, Jojopah will share wisdom on why validating experiences (achieving an important goal, having your dream come true, having a windfall, having a ‘happy ending”) will take you away from who you have known yourself to be and enable you to transcend to a new state of having, doing and being -–from which there is no going back.
It's Easter Sunday and instead of sending you a basket full of jelly beans and chocolates we're bringing you reviews of this weekend's releases! Transcendence, the directorial debut of Wally Phister, famed cinematographer best known for his work with Christopher Nolan, helms the tale of A.I. gone terribly wrong with Johnny Depp and Rebecca Hall. Then it's a trip to A Haunted House 2 the follow up to Marlon Wayan's suprisingly funny parody of Paranormal Activity type movies. Let's be honest though, the real focus of today's show is going to be centered in King's Landing as we attempt to make sense of the now epic 'Purple Wedding', morale of the story: Regretfully decline any wedding invites sent from the seven kingdoms.

This has to be one of the CRAZIEST weeks in news. News feeds were filled with people doing outragious things. On this edition of The Black Geeks Radio Show, we will tell you about these people who are the next Hunger Games constestant.
Does God-Creator want and intend for us to use a pedestal to keep our Divine at a distance and static? Or, does a stairway to meet and greet our Higher SELF At-One with our inate Goodness nature make more sense and fit with Principle better?
Is our route HOME one paved in worship rituals? Or is it paved with answering our longing and questions with TRUTH answers via learning and healing? Why would our Divine counterpart want us to supplicate rather than mend our broken hearts and resolve our communicaiton breakdown?
Does relationship make more sense than idolic worship which got Moses quite upset when delivering the Ten Commandments? An idol is an idol no matter the label you slap onto it. How does worship belie Jesus and his teaching that, "The Father and I are One," and "Greater things than me you shall do"? It ought to fit together, not be contractory, right?
Please tune-in and shed a enlightening ray of TRUTH'S Light into what has become the dark side of tradition's erroneous interpretations making more sense to ego mind reasoning than Divine thinking. :)
