Swanson Bark & Wood Products on The Business Forum Show

    in Business

Host Kevin Hunter features guest John Leber from Swanson Bark and Wood Products, Inc in Longview, Washington. Swanson Bark and Wood Products is a woodwaste recycling facility.

Here are some thoughts from John:

My advice is to be patient. Don’t get too spun up over any one thing. Life will hand you things that will give you ulcers. How you deal with those things will determine the number of ulcers you end up with.
Have a plan. Figure out what you’re going to sell, who you’re going to sell it to, how you’re going to make it, how much you can sell it for and how much it’s going to cost you to make it. If it doesn’t look like it’s going to work, take a pass and try the next thing. If you keep a positive attitude, there will be a next thing, probably more next things than you can handle. Love life. Share your wisdom

    TPP: Trans-Petro-Pink Swastika

    in Politics Conservative

Republicans bitch and moan as Reid deploys the nuclear option for Senate confirmations and when Democrats whine about McConnell giving the Democrat’s POTUS ‘fast track’ authority. Apparently Republicans think Obama shouldn’t have foreign policy authority to negotiate a deal with Iran, but insist he be given authority to invite transnational corporations to trump the Constitution. Does this seem contradictory? It makes perfect sense when you finally realize that neither Obama nor Congress is in charge. They are puppets playing a role to keep the proles in a state of perpetual fear with a spark of false hope at the voting machines.

The Constitutional Republic has been usurped by the tyranny of soft despotism with a veneer of democracy, elections and the distraction of bread and circuses.  It shall persist UNLESS liberty-loving people band together to restore Constitutional governance for a free and virtuous nation from your own community on up to the Imperial District of Corruption.  Restore The Constitutional Militia of the Several States, sound money, free economies, religious and civil liberties as well as a sensible foreign policy of trade, friendship and non-interventionist defense backed up by the most powerful Navy and Marines; or watch the fascists in both parties push transnational agendas to their benefit and our demise. This is the last chance to stop those who perpetuate a hegemonic empire abroad and a fascist police state at home.  To defeat the lawless hordes of Cultural Marxists, fascists, oligarchs, kleptocrats, useful idiots and their fellow travelers especially the Democrat-socialists, first you MUST CRUSH the Neocon fascist-socialists on ‘the right’. . .for liberty!

    in Jobs

    Tuesday, May 26, 2015  | 1:00 PM EDT

The VA's Homeless Veterans Community Employment Services (HVCES) program helps homeless veterans re-enter the workforce and is a valuable community partner for workforce development organizations.

The Veterans Health Administration's Homeless Veteran Community Employment Services program provides wraparound services to Veterans exiting homelessness that enable them to successfully connect with businesses and return to employment. "This unique population is highly motivated and actually has a varied skill set from which employers can benefit," shared Dr. Carma Heitzmann, Director of VA's HVCES program. "Getting formerly homeless veterans into gainful employment and supporting them during that critical first year back in the labor force increases their success in both the workforce and in maintaining their housing status."  In this Workforce Central radio show from the National Association of Workforce Boards, President/CEO Ron Painter interviews Dr. Heitzmann to share the details of the HVCES program and how workforce development organizations can form partnerships and engage locally assigned Community Employment Coordinators to successfully place formerly homeless veterans into employment.
