Dr. Tracy Marx, President of Louisville Bible College, discusses some of the great things God is doing at LBC: the new Women's Ministry program, the strength of the Preaching Ministry program, the seminars and webinars, and steps to the overall vision. He will also talk about how you can personally get involved and help make an impact in the world for the cause of Jesus Christ.
POV, PBS's long-running showcase for independent non-fiction films, recently unveiled six new interactive documentary shorts that it bills as "allow[ing] audiences to engage...on a deeper level, using new technologies and new paradigms in storytelling" (note: more information on each of the documentaries can be found here). Four of the documentaries were created by alumni of POV Hackathon, POV's weekend laboratory series, which provides mentorship and collaboration opportunities for non-fiction media makers and technologists.
In this recorded interview with [itvt] editor-in-chief, Tracy Swedlow, Adnaan Wasey, executive producer of POV Digital, discusses how the six films use interactivity and new forms of storytelling to deepen audiences' engagement with their subject matter; describes the work of POV Hackathon; and explains why he believes that documentaries should no longer be confined by traditional linear narratives.

“To grow, you must be willing to let your present and future to be totally unlike your past. Your history is not your destiny.” (Alan Cohen)
Join Tracy Worley on GRACEbreak as we discuss the importance of knowing what matters to you, knowing your Top4 Values and how to apply boundaries to your life.
Top4 is identifying what is important to us as an individual. If we do not have our own plan we ultimately become part of someone else’s. To plan is not a daily agenda, but to look at whom we are and have to offer the world. Identifying our current values and what is most important in our life brings focus. We no longer walk into a room and wonder “Who am I, and what am I doing here?” In most cases, outside influences have created the chaos; we have allowed someone else’s urgency to interrupt our priorities.
Core values make up our character, self-image, self-esteem, beliefs, experiences, and set points. How to start: Free write how you would like to be treated (Golden Rule), and where you spend resources of time and money is a great start of what you value.
Adrian Peterson now has more attention for beating his children than knocking grown men out on the football field.
He left marks on a four year old, which seems excessive to many of us. Franky, it assaults our sensibilities.
But the public debate is larger than whethere Peterson abused his child or not. The debate is actually over whether corporal punishment is necessary or effective.
We've come a long way from public floggings, but some thing that we've not come so far that we still don't need to pass out an ass whipping every now and again.
Some say a return to corporal punishment will provide some perspective for out of control children. Otherwise, let's get rid of the schools we complain about and leave the children at home. For every discussion about what the school
system needs to do, there needs to be a discussion about what parents need to do. And instead of simply looking to add more duties to an already overtaxed and nearly failing school system, we should place more of the focus on parental training.
After all, you have to learn how to drive a car, but no one is trained on being a parent.
There are a number of things that are wrong with the way we are leaving the world to the next generation, but the overarching problem with today’s youth is that some of them really do need hands placed on them.
Some kids may turn out fine with the permissiveness and timeout behavior modification methods, but others need their natural asses kicked.
Today's discussion on "The Bridge" will focus on discipline of children and examining the line between discipline and abuse. Co-hosts, Tracy Powell, Dr. John Hamilton, Marcus D. LeGall, III and DJ Gates weigh in.

The Office of Civilian Safety and Defense has guarded the public against the rampant threat of terrorism for the last fifteen years with the full backing of the US government. Their carefully crafted list of Civilian Restrictions means no concerts or sporting events, no travel, no social media, no cash transactions, and no driver's licenses for eighteen-year-olds Tommy and Careen. The OCSD has even outlawed grocery stores, all in the name of safety.
Now, there's a new threat-airborne chemical weapons that could be activated at any time. But the OCSD has an antidote: Just three drops a day is all it takes to stay safe. It's a small price to pay for safety.
Or is it...
Dariaanne will chat with the multi-talented Tracy about her latest book and amazing writing career, which began in high school. During the live show, host and guest welcome your calls and comments at (347) 945-7246.
