On the site of the Manassas Industrial School for Colored Youth, this five-acre park is now a park of remembrance for the school’s founder, former slave Jennie Dean. The outlines of the foundations of the original building are marked, and there is a model of the school and a kiosk with an audio program that provides information about Dean and the school’s founding. Dean raised money for the school for almost 10 years before Manassas Industrial was chartered in 1893. The dedication ceremonies were led by orator Frederick Douglass.
This five-acre archaeological site, dedicated in 1995, is located on the original site of the Manassas Industrial School for Colored Youth. The school was founded largely through the efforts of a former enslaved woman, Jennie Dean who, after almost a decade of charismatic fundraising, chartered the school on October 7, 1893. The school was designed as a private residential institution providing both academic and vocational training within a Christian setting.

The No Huddle Radio crew returns with a breakdown of the Packers-Jets game. Join ALLGBP.com writers Jason Perone, Cory Jennerjohn, And Burch and Kris Burke as they examine what went right and what went wrong against the Jets and ponder the question of the day: Are the Packers as good as we thought they were?
They also take a look ahead at Sunday's game against the Lions at Ford Field. Always dangerous in terms of talent, but never able to put it all together, the Lions are impossible to predict. The last time these teams met, it was a Thanksgiving Day massacre in Detroit. The guys discuss what the Packers need to do to avoid a similar result this time around.
Join the writers at AllGreenBayPackers.com for a fast hitting discussion of all things Packers. Please be sure to visit ALLGREENBAYPACKERS.COM, where we are "All Packers All the Time." Mz. Koko BowdenEncore interview with Devin T. Robinson aka Egypt aboutt he 2014 www.IAMGODSWOMAN.COM
The Biography of Devin T. Robinson X "Egypt"
Despite losing his mother at 12, having his father abandon him the same day and being classified as an orphan, Egypt may have been knocked down…but wasn’t knocked out.
Over a span of 10 years, Egypt has led a life many consider a fairytale. His work in Black history storytelling, relationship counseling and HIV education/performing opened doors many seldom see. He's appeared on MTV, BET, Apollo theater twice, FOX with Lee Pitts in addition to countless radio shows, magazine and performance appearances. Egypt has shared stages with A-list celebrities such as John Legend, Alicia Keys and Magic Johnson. He adopted the name "Egypt" because he plans to influence the world just as the great African empire has influenced the earth.
He's touched stages in Johannesburg South Africa, Doha Qatar, Barbados, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago and a TEDx Talk in Amman, Jordan. Not to neglect he's gained two degrees while being on the Dean's list, graduated Phi Theta Kappa Honors, won the Florida State PAL Boxing Championship, is a devout Christian, created the AIDS Awareness Poets Inc and the AIDS Games. He wrote three top selling relationship books, "How Good Is Sex?", “Change Him… In 100 pages,” and "Love Is Not An STD". He is also the youngest (27) Alumni of the year award recipient at Palm Beach State College for his work in HIV/AIDS. Yet, his highest achievement occurred April 6th, 2014 by marrying his dream woman.

Obama taught workshops on Alinsky’s theories and methods for years and Hillary Rodham as a student at Wellesly in 1969, interviewed Saul Alinsky and wrote her thesis on Alinsky’s theories and methods. , The truth may not surprise you !
A meeting of the minds, if so inclined, with memories of habits that drove us insane. A free exchange of facts, that transform, reshape and implications that engage thoughts that there is a better way.
A.A. Meetings are a cross between a self-help program, group therapy and a revival meeting.
Meeting formats and procedure are as diverse as there are groups. I have been to meetings all over most of these United States and some foreign countries including Mississippi.
In the early 1960’s when wife swapping was in vogue, an A.A group formed around this platform of depravity. A moral indignant railed to Bill W as to the potential black eye to A.A. and the dark cloud of guilt by association. Bill W asked are they staying sober? The emphatic reply yes they are, Bill exclaimed that every group has the right to be wrong.
It only takes two things to start a new A.A. group: resentment and a coffee pot. The coffee pot is optional

It’s too darn hot in Los Angeles and your friends in podcasting are high as proverbial kites on codeine swirl frappuccinos!
Dean performed in a “Live Event of the Week” and this fact leads to a discussion of public transportation, the immune system and Biddy Mason.
Phil spent all week (and the week before that) trying to get their new film submitted to Sundance, and in the process watch documentaries about The Magnificent Seven, Sam Peckinpah and Stanley Kubrick’s Paths of Glory. He also saw the last film to star the great James Gandolfini (and boasting merely the latest indelible performance from the masterful Tom Hardy).
Two “Lawsuits of the Week” are discussed, which leads to analysis of sexual abuse in Hollywood, domestic violence in professional football and the role of interns in show business.
A great comic and a legendary big-screen villain are remembered.
All that, plus much more … Pass the Chillpak. It’s too darn hot!
