The RAV4 SUV has been popular for a number of years, but the combination of Toyota’s Sport Utility Vehicle with a battery operated powertrain makes it special. The RAV4 EV is a collaboration with Tesla Motors, who designed and produced the battery and electric powertrain.
The new Toyota RAV4 EV provides a quiet, comfortable, and smooth ride with easy handling, due mostly to the low center of gravity as well as a low coefficient of drag. The front bumper, grill, side mirrors, rear spoiler, and the underbody were all re-styled to provide the new sedan-like ride. The battery pack is mounted near the center of the vehicle and very low.

Regan Smith will replace Kurt Busch in the No. 41 Haas CNC Chevrolet for Stewart-Haas Racing. Rumors swirl that Camping World Truck Series champion, Matt Crafton, will make his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut in the Great American Race, replacing Kyle Busch in the No.18 M&M's Toyota after the Joe Gibbs Racing driver was injured in a vicious crash during the NASCAR XFINITY Series race.
All that an more as we prepare you for the 57th annual Daytona 500.
NASCAR’s BACK!!! . . . and, that means so is our Frat House Sports Radio Network’s Race Trim MotorSports Hour, and hosts Uncle Mark and Brandon have already got a lot of grease on their hands in the garage.
It seems through every step of the pre-event hype to Sunday’s Daytona 500, there has been some sort of controversy – (1) fights following the Unlimited; (2) wrecks in pole qualifying; (3) uncertainty followed by bickering at the Duals; and, (4) suspensions just before the race.
Kurt Busch has been indefinitely suspended following allegations of domestic abuse; Chevrolet has stepped away from his sponsorship; NASCAR has dropped all of his merchandise from their web site and from all vendors at Daytona International Speedway and had him escorted by police to his airplane out of town. The guys are debating “The Outlaw’s” situation. And want to hear from you, the fans!
Plus, beginning the season have the Toyota’s solved their engine problems and will this lead the way for Joe Gibbs Racing to dominate; and, who are some of the drivers that might make “The Chase” this year that didn’t in 2014.
“Sidekick” brings you his NASCAR Fantasy picks right from the track at Daytona, and “Frat House Mike” updates the NHRA Drag-Racing season.
As usual, they've got the coffee. You bring the donuts and bring enough for the guys parked right now over in the "Frat House Sports Garage" . . . oh, and be sure to give them a call at 347 - 826 - 9964!

On this episode of Talking in Circles talks to Dominic Aragon, who initially broke the story about Ron Hornaday Jr moving to the Sprint Cup Series for the 2015 season with The Motorsports Group. Hornaday, a four time Sprint Cup Series champion hasn't been in a cup car since 2015.
Brian Vickers has been cleared to race, starting with the third race of the season in March at Las Vegas. A surprising move considering it looked grim for Vickers earlier in the offseason. Michael Waltrip will drive the No.55 Aaron's Dream Machine Toyota at Daytona for the Daytona 500, making his 27th start in that race. No word on the driver of the No. 55 at Atlanta. |
Michael Annett appears to be headed to HScott Motorsports as a teammate to Justin Allgaier. Interesting move for Annett who finished 33rd in points for Tommy Baldwin Racing in 2015.
Also Brian Scott will drive in the Daytona 500 for RCR in a No. 29 Chevrolet.
Also Jeremy Clements returns to the Xfinity Series for 2015, and JD Motorsports may have 3 full-time entries in the Xfinity Series next season.
