Cruz vows to shun negative campaigning

    By KEVIN ROBILLARD

    3/29/15 11:03 AM EDT

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is swearing off negative campaigning as he begins his run for the White House.

“There may be other candidates who choose to throw rocks in my direction,” the GOP presidential hopeful said in an interview aired Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “I’m not going to engage in the personal mudslinging, in the negative attacks on people’s character.”

Cruz last week became the first Republican to officially enter the presidential race. But he insisted that, despite his reputation as an archconservative and a bomb-thrower, he had avoided personal attacks over the past two years in the Senate.

“In my time in the Senate, there’s been more than a few rocks tossed in my direction from Democrats and Republicans,” he said. “Yet in my entire time there, I haven’t reciprocated. You have never heard me speak ill of any senator, Republican or Democrat, and I don’t intend to start.”

House of Prayer Bible Study for all People

    in Religion

James 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

    2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

9 Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:

10 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

    A Conversation with Chubby Tavares

    in Lifestyle

The five-brother singing group Tavares may be best known for such up-tempo hits as the million-selling single "Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel," "More Than a Woman," and "Whodunit," but they first came to national attention with the luscious ballad "Check It Out." Their crisp vocalizing and clean-cut, young-men-next-door image made them favorites on TV shows starring Johnny Carson, Mike Douglas, and Dick Clark's American Bandstand. In 1974, Tavares also had the first hit version (number one R&B) of "She's Gone" written by the then relative unknown duo of Daryl Hall and John Oates. Hall & Oates scored a number seven pop hit with the song in 1976.

Chubby Tavares is now focused on producing solo projects.  His first project was Jealousy which reaches beyond his salad days as a hit making member of his family group to record an album of covers ranging from tunes from the Great American Songbook to pop tunes of artists such as The Eagles and Barry Gibb. Jealousy’s track list made it clear that Chubby approached this project with a non-cynical view toward making a covers album. He didn’t employ modern production techniques or odd collaborations in an attempt to reach a younger demographic. He also didn’t fill Jealousy with a bunch of done to death covers. He's done the same thing with his soon to be released new CD "Can't Knock Me Down."  This will be a great conversation with a legendary voice from the 60's disco era.

THE METAPHYSICS OF AMERICA; AMERIGO; AMERICAS; AMERRIQUE; AMARUCA ; STRONG WIND

    in Religion

WHAT IS THE TRUTH.....not a truth....or the true Metaphysics of AMERICA?

AMERICA, we learn as schoolchildren, was named in honor of Amerigo Vespucci, for his discovery of the mainland of the New World. We tend not to question this lesson about the naming of America. By the time we are adults it lingers vaguely in most of us, along with images of wave-tossed caravels and forests peopled with naked cannibals. Not surprisingly, the notion that America was named for Vespucci has long been universally accepted, so much so that a lineal descendant, America Vespucci, came to New Orleans in 1839 and asked for a land grant "in recognition of her name and parentage." Since the late 19th century, however, conflicting ideas about the truth of the derivation have been set forth with profound cultural and political implications. To question the origin of America's name is to question the nature of not only our history lessons but our very identity as Americans.

Lucifer's goal is to "be like the most High" (Isa 14:14) and to usurp the worship of God (Mat 4:9).

Lucifer's purpose is to deceive the whole world (Rev 12:9) by transforming himself into an angel of light (2Co 11:4). This is best exemplified by the Freemasons. Their motto of "making good men better" produces a far more favorable public image than the more accurate alternative: "how to become demon-possessed in 33-easy-steps." The Jewish and Masonic religions both worship the same god.

The Becky Bookamiliar Book Club -DanaPSpeaksNetwork-Talk Live Radio Show/2 Keys.

    in Books

The Becky  Bookamiliar Book Club DanaPSpeaksNetwork Talk Live Radio Show - Two Keys To Answered Prayer is the focus of subject matter tonight.

When relationships shatter, finances collapse, or the life of someone you love hangs by a thread, how do you pray? Do you call upon your Father in heaven with the full confidence that He hears and will answer? Or do you doubt His very existence at the moment when you need Him most? Here are two of four keys to receiving God's answers for your deepest most heartfelt prayers: (1) Ask In Faith - Faith is crucial to effective prayer. (James 1:6-8) says, "But let him ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." When coming before the Lord in prayers, acknowledge His ability to answer your prayers "exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think." (Ephesians 3:20).......(2) Pray In Agreement - It is important to pray in agreement with God's will. "And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will. He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him" (1 John 5:14-15). Praying in agreement with another believer--sharing the same mind and heart of God's purpose--adds the power of unity to your prayer life. In Matthews 18:19, Jesus says, "If two of your agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven."

For I know the thought I have for you saith the Lord plans for a hope and a future.
