On Saturday night, Manny Pacquiao will face Chris Algieri on HBO PPV, but on the undercard a bout looms that may focus more on where the division is going. Jessie Vargas will defend his WBA world lightweight title against Antonio DeMarco in what could be a coup de gras for who faces Pacquiao next if he is able to win.
Vargas has silently become a champion and built up a bit of hatred along the way, mostly unfairly. It essentially started as hatred and jealously in the begining as he was alined with Mayweather Promotions fighting on major pay-per-views for abnormal sums of money early in his career. Featherweight titlist Vasyl Lomachenko will make his first defense in one of the featured bouts on the undercard. Top Rank promoter Bob Arum made the announcement of Lomachenko's defense against mandatory challenger Chonlatarn Piriyapinyo at a news conference at the Venetian Macao that kicked off a six-city, 12-day media tour that will cover 27,273 miles in two countries, China and the United States. Now that boxing has finally got its super fight fans are rejoicing, and some are even apologetic to the fact that this fight took this long to make. Time to pack our bags, get a ticket, and witness history, right?
Well, not quite.
Rumors in the industry have started that Mayweather-Pacquiao might be limited to tickets for the public, if at all. Meaning, if you want to buy a ticket, your best bet will be to buy on secondary market at an inflated price.
In a report by ESPN Deportes, a source close to the promotion stated that there will only be 1000 tickets or less available to the public. The MGM Grand holds about 16,800 and to score a ticket to the fight, you either need to know someone or pony up an enormous amount to be in the building.
There will be plenty closed circuit viewings available throughout casino properties throughout Las Vegas, but that ticket is rumored to be close to 200 dollars.

Now that Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao has been announced, what exactly will be the subject we fall back on to whine about every week? We'll find something. In the meantime, they did indeed sign to fight. So this week on TQBR Radio, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Queensberry Rules' Patrick Connor will talk about the #MayweatherPacquiao fight with an actual serious tone. Also important, Gennady Golovkin wrecked Martin Murray last weekend in Monte Carlo, so expect some hyperbole and more about that. Thanks for tuning in!
Is Floyd "Money" Mayweather deathly afraid of stepping into the boxing ring with Manny Pacquiao or not?
Here we have a man in Floyd that has been in the ring with the best and dominated future hall of famers and has never lost a fight, yet, for the last few years since the public has been demanding that he face Manny Pacquiao they are now saying that Floyd is terrified to face Manny once and for all.
But what is the real truth behind these accusations and what makes Manny Pacquiao the monster of an opponent that his fans make him out to be?
His knockout loss to Mayweather victim Juan Manual Marquez is still a visual that haunts even his most die-hard fans as his recent inability to secure a knockout victory even over sub-par competition like Chris Algieri has done nothing else but to support the fact that Manny Pacquiao's best days are behind him.
But yet and still, Floyd Mayweather is afraid.
So answer the question: Is Floyd "Money" Mayweather truly afraid of Manny Pacquiao?
Let's let it all hang out as far as your opinions on this topic goes and at least back up your explanations with FACTS and not simple useless chatter.
