Tom Ingrassia - Boomers in Transition

    in Lifestyle

In 2001--at age 48 and just days before the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Tom Ingrassia chucked a successful, 25-year career in higher education (he was Assistant  Dean at a university business school at the time) to pursue his childhood dream of working in the entertainment industry.
With the formation of Ingrassia Productions & Artist Management, he had the privilege of working with some of the legendary singers we grew up listening to and idolizing in the '60s, including: Mary Wilson (The Supremes; he served as her executive assistant & creative director of her merchandising company for 5 years); Arlene Smith (The Chantels); Barbara Alston (The Crystals); June Monteiro
(The Toys); Carl Gardner (The Coasters); and actress Dee Wallace Stone. While no longer working with the divas, Tom still maintains a roster of a dozen eclectic musicians (classical, jazz & country), composers and actors.
Today, building upon the success of his dramatic career re-invention, Tom runs The MotivAct Group with his business partner--who is 22 years his junior. They offer                  holistic personal and professional development programs designed to help clients clarify and set their goals in order to live into their dreams.  The primary audience is baby boomers who want a roadmap to get from where they are to where they want to be.

Jean Tracy of Kids Dicuss has a Talk With Tom

    in Parents

Jean grew up in Seattle, Washington, the daughter of an accountant and a music teacher. Life in her neighborhood was kid-centered with biking, tag, kick-the-can, and comic book trading. Her school teachers filled her head with motivational stories, great quotes, and poetry.  This led her to become a teacher too.  Jean taught elementary school in California, Connecticut, and Washington.  Because of the problem children in her classes, she decided to further her studies and become a counselor. Jean’s goal to unite teachers, parents, and children in their common challenges to build character and help kids succeed came true. When she retired from her 22-year family counseling practice, the door to the internet swung wide open. With a website, blog, and social media, she shares her unique counseling secrets with parents worldwide. Jean lives with her husband. She enjoys her children, grandchildren, their pets, and lively family discussions. Look for her in her office typing away on her laptop as she works on her next book or outside in the sunshine picking roses in her garden.
