    If laughter is the best medicine, prepare to be heavily medicated. Tom Cotter's high energy, rapid-fire style of comedy leaves audiences clutching their sides and rolling in the aisles. Recently, Tom becamethe first comedian to ever reach the finals of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent”. His runner up finish on the show has catapulted him to the comedic stratosphere.   Before his historic run on the world’s largest talent competition, Tom won the Seattle International Comedy Competition, the grand prize at The Boston Comedy Festival and was voted "Best Stand-Up" atThe Las Vegas Comedy Festival.   He has become a familiar face on television shows like The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, NBC’s “Last Comic Standing”, The Today Show and his own series, TWO-FUNNY, on The Women’s Entertainment Network.   Other TV credits include CBS’ The Late Late Show, Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend”, Comics Unleashed and a Barbara Walters Prime-Time Special among many others.   Since moving to New York City, Tom filmed his very own Comedy Central special, “Comedy Central Presents... Tom has performed at over 300 colleges and wide variety of venues the world over, from London to Beijing, to the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.     Dr. Ruth Nemzoff is the author of  Don’t Roll Your Eyes: Making In-Laws Into Family (Palgrave/Macmillan, 2012) and Don’t Bite Your Tongue: How to Foster Rewarding Relationships With Your Adult Children (Palgrave/Macmillan, 2008), and a frequent speaker on family dynamics. She is a resident scholar at Brandeis University’s Women's Studies Research Center. 

    Dr. Nemzoff holds a Doctorate in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy from Harvard University, a Master's in Counseling from Columbia University, and a Bachelor's in American Studies from Barnard College. Her papers are archived at the Schlesinger Library, Harvard University. She and her husband, Harris Berman, have four adult children, four in-law children, and eight grandchildren. 

    She is the former assistant minority leader of the New Hampshire State Legislature, the first female New Hampshire Deputy Commissioner of Health and Welfare, and the first female Bank of New Hampshire Board Member. For over ten years, she was an adjunct associate professor at Bentley University.

    Tom Prior - SkyFire

    Tom is a 23-year-old Campus Ministry graduate assistant pursuing a Master’s of Organizational Leadership degree from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. His work with Campus Ministry includes hosting faith-based discussions and leading service projects once a week. He also works as a sports broadcaster and camera operator for a local Quad Cities cable network. He played baseball at St. Ambrose during his undergraduate studies and was editor-in-chief of the campus newspaper, ‘The Buzz’. The avid St. Louis Cardinals fan grew up in Bloomington, Illinois and is a graduate of Bloomington Central Catholic High School.


    When he isn’t studying, participating in service opportunities or covering athletic events, Tom spends his time writing. His enthusiasm for writing fiction is evident in his self-published action/adventure novel ‘Skyfire’, which was completed in February 2014. Tom has donated over $1,300 of his novel’s profit to Catholic Charities and The Children’s Miracle Network because he wants to provide others with the opportunity to pursue their dreams. He’s currently writing the sequel to ‘Skyfire’ and plans to publish it in early 2016.

    Breakthrough with comedian Tom Cotter

    Tom Cotter has taken the comedy scene by storm since finishing second on "America's Got Talent" in 2012.   Tom lost to a dog act, but don’t hold that against him; he was the first comedian ever to be a finalist on the show and was the highest finishing human being on the show that year.  On August 21st 2013, AGT asked Tom back to perform as a special guest star (along with Train) and then again to host The 2013 AGT Snapple Viewing Party on the Sept 11th episode.   Tom will share his breakthroughs and the leverage of laughter.  
    Tom's other numerous television credits include "The Tonight Show," "The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson" and his very own "Comedy Central Presents" special.
