Malachi 3:1-10 is God’s Change Agent. The change agent is a game changer. Someone who enters the game in the closing minutes...
The 1st part of V1 is quoted of John the Baptist but the next words, ‘’the Lord whom ye seek,’’ is not mentioned anywhere else in the NT..
V2 ask the question, ‘’who will abide his coming?’’ will you have fruits worthy of repentance?...
V3 is the personification of John’s ministry in Matthew 3: v11 ‘’I, indeed, baptize you with water unto repentance, but he who cometh after me is mightier than I...
V4 is a longing for the relationship God had with his people in the past...
V5 begin, ‘’I will come...in judgement...I will be swift…’’; is the last promise and the last prayer and the last provision in the Church Age
V6 is God confirming a promised to show mercy to Jacob's Children.
V7’s scolds the Jews slack behavior for not keeping His ordinances from the days of their fathers...
V8, ‘’Will a man rob God?”
V9 announces a curse of curses being placed upon the person and a nation who rob God
V10 you and I are here on earth, God is in heaven, his storehouse is in heaven...
Hello everybody. I greet you in Christ’s name. This is the Grover Weaver Ministries Weekly Commentary on the International Sunday School Lesson founded in Zechariah 7:8-14.
Chapter 7 covers the delegation sent from Bethel regarding a hypocritical fast and feast and the Lord of hosts rebuke...
V8, the Lord through Zechariah is speaking to the hypocrites of the church, Bethel ‘’the house of God’’...
V9 & 10 contain the same message to the church then as it is does today, as it was then, 70 years after the exile...
V11 is the causation for prayer, the 6th century BC church and the 21st century church ‘’refused to hearken, and turned a stubborn shoulder, and stopped their ears that they might not hear...
V12 continues the narrative of V11, ‘’they made their hearts like adamant lest they should hear the law and the words which the Lord of hosts had sent by his Spirit through the former prophets’’...
V13 & 14, point the class to how the Lord deals with the rejection of His’ demands...
Hello everybody. This is the Grover Weaver Ministries Weekly Commentary on the International Sunday School Lesson in Ezekiel 18:1-13,31 & 32....Chapter 18 of Ezekiel is God justice defended in a proverb concerning the land of Israel...
V1 God asks Israel, what do you mean when you speak a particular proverb that places the error on someone else and not the guilty party?...Our lesson which happens in the 6th century connects our 21st century politics to the proverb in V2 concerning the land of Israel...V3 debunk the myth of the proverb, ‘’we did not do nothing, it was the father's fault’’...V4 at the Judgement Seat of Christ it makes no never mind who did what or to whom or why it was did...
V5 thru 9 are giving us a portrait of the believer who the Lord labels a ‘’just man’’. He is not sinless but for his sins he trusts the coming Messiah and offers in faith the required sacrifice doing the things that touches the righteousness of the law makes him just...
V10 thur 13 give the reader a glimpse in the family life of the just man and the Lord’s position when a child departs from his home training goes in the world and become part and parcel of its evil by embracing the abominations which the Lord hates...
V31 & 32 open ‘’a door of hope’’. Never In the Lord’s ‘’warnings’’, ‘’rebukes’’, and ‘’exhortations’’ are we left without hope...
Thanks for listening and have a bless day in the Lord!
In this week lesson, Isaiah deals with the tragic nature of sin and the need for a Redeemer. Sin ties the hand of an Almighty God, it is quite distressing He turns and hides his face from the sinner. Isaiah 59 message is God’s search for a methodology to redeem him; only until a body was fashion for the Son did he have a worthy Redeemer.
V15, closes out the narrative by saying ‘’...(man’s) truth faileth; without God there is no hope of salvation. Where there is no justice there’s no peace from God. He is displeased.
V16, the bible tells us for forty-two generations, transformation was not the way to save man soul. No matter how good he was his sin nature remains.
V17, the Son ashion in the form of a man He put on the breastplate of righteousness and the helmet of salvation upon his head; drape Himself in the garment of ...
V18...Satan and ‘’his Imps’’ will pay in spades.
V19 And,’’...so shall they in the West fear the name of the Lord and his glory from the rising sun...
V20 & 21, make a promise that the Redeemer will come to the House of Jacob, Class, the text is talking about the twelve sons of Jacob ‘’who turn from their transgression’’. The Lord will not forget his first born. Redemption will come to Zion henceforth and forever.
Jeremiah 7:1-15 is one of the many conversations between Jeremiah and GOD. As background, Chp. 1 of Jeremiah v5 bears witness God knew this Old Testament prophet before he formed him in his mother’s womb. The Lord called him and sanctified him to be a prophet for the nations before he was born.
Planned Parenthood and the abort woman will have to defend this prohibition before a merciful God at the Judgement Seat of Christ, who humble plea is ‘’suffer not the little child to come unto me’’.
V2 He sent Jeremiah to a specific place in the courtyard of the temple to delivery the message recorded in chapter 2:13.
V3 the prophet identifies the God giving the edict as the ‘’God of hosts, the God of Israel’’ this was needed for many false prophets prophesied the prophecy of the fake Gods of 7th century Judah...Thus, V4 is a refrain from God to stop listening to the lies from those fake preachers... V5 restates v3 and adds the adjective ‘’thoroughly’’ meaning ‘’executed without negligence or omissions’’. STOP IT!
Might I take V6 and read it in a 21st century light and you then tell me if the two systems sound the same:..
V7 says if the people do not do the the things in V6 God will cause the people to dwell in the Land of Canaan forever and ever. V8 the Lord knows the lying tongue is the sin which so easily entangle us.
V9,10, & 11 are questions ask in the judgement...
V12 Class, what was the wickedness of Shiloh, the place where God put his name first on earth?...
V13, 14 & 15 are about the concerted effort the Lord put forth to get Judah to act on that ‘’free will’’, the will to do, and the outcome of their failure to respond...
