The Priest’s Part in the Offerings (Leviticus 6:13-27)

    in Christianity

    TEXTS

Fire shall be kept burning continually on the altar; it is not to go out. ‘Now this is the law of the grain offering: the sons of Aaron shall present it before the Lord in front of the altar. Then one of them shall lift up from it a handful of the fine flour of the grain offering, with its oil and all the incense that is on the grain offering, and he shall offer it up in smoke on the altar, a soothing aroma, as its memorial offering to the Lord. What is left of it Aaron and his sons are to eat. It shall be eaten as unleavened cakes in a holy place; they are to eat it in the court of the tent of meeting. It shall not be baked with leaven. I have given it as their share from My offerings by fire; it is most holy, like the sin offering and the guilt offering. Every male among the sons of Aaron may eat it; it is a permanent ordinance throughout your generations, from the offerings by fire to the Lord. Whoever touches them will become consecrated.’” Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “This is the offering which Aaron and his sons are to present to the Lord on the day when he is anointed; the tenth of an ephah of fine flour as a regular grain offering, half of it in the morning and half of it in the evening. It shall be prepared with oil on a griddle. When it is well stirred, you shall bring it. You shall present the grain offering in baked pieces as a soothing aroma to the Lord. The anointed priest who will be in his place among his sons shall offer it. By a permanent ordinance it shall be entirely offered up in smoke to the Lord. So every grain offering of the priest shall be burned entirely. It shall not be eaten.” Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘This is the law of the sin offering: in the place where the burnt offering is slain the sin offering shall be slain before the Lord; it is most holy. The priest who offers it for sin shall eat it. It shall be...

    Making Offerings To The Lord

    in Christianity

God calls us to give him a sacraficial offering but, do we understand what that truly means.  What is a acceptable offering to the Lord Our God?  During this time of Sukkot/Feast of Tabernacles God commands a offering and we are to celebrate this Divine Appotinted time with thanksgiving, rejoicing, praise unto him for his goodness, his loving kindness and his faithfulness.  Are we to offer to him a sacraificial praise or just any kind of praise?  Join me as I share on these commands as we see what God say about it.

RTR: Tithing, The Black Church And The Black Community

    in Christianity

Some estimates say that more than $12.5 billion a year is taken in by the black church each year, but how much of that money actually goes back into the community from where it came?   How many times have you seen a very nice church in a run down community?   The church collects tithes and offerings from it's members, but do the members have access to those same funds when they may need them?  Handing out school supplies, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners are great, but what about the everyday needs of the people in the community in which the church resides?  We applaud those churches that have soup kitchens, food pantries and a benevolance fund and don't require folks to jump through hoops to receive financial assistance every once and a while, but many churches do no such thing.  How has tithing and giving money to the church effected the economic well being of the black community at large.  We are not talking about any individual church here, but the black church as a whole. Join RTR this and every Sunday at 10am est, as we talk about this and more.  You can also listen live by calling 661.449.9951

Tithing Under Grace with Pastor Fred Price Jr

    in Religion

Pastor Fred Price Jr's recent sermon series "Tithing Under Grace" has freed most and frustrated others regarding what the Bible REALLY says about tithing. What factor(s) caused Pastor Fred to change his position which he learned for years, from tithing to New Testament grace giving? Why do Christians still tithe in churches today? If Christians still choose to tithe of their own free will, is it wrong to still call it tithing?

Stewardship, Tithing & Discipleship: Godly Principles for An Abundant Life pg10

    in Christianity

God’s Plan For An Abundant Life: Stewardship, Tithing & Discipleship God’s Plan For An Abundant Life addresses three basic principles. Prayerfully, this work-book will help you:

To become disciplined hearers and doers of God’s Word
To remain faithful and excited about giving back to God your tithes and offerings
To know that God created us as stewards with power to care for all He created

When studied and lived by, these principles will change the course of your Life. VASTT Ministry chal- lenges you to trust God to smite your debt, for the Word of God says in 3 John 2

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.  3 John 2.

There is a Goliath in the land today, and his name is Credit Card and he has a band of warriors called Debt and Stress. Their first cousins are Frustration and Depression. The prince of this world causes debt, stress, frustration, and depression. Jesus said we have victory over satan and the wiles of the devil. People have tried every gimmick and every plan known to man to raise money for the church and to get out of personal debt. So why are we still in bondage and slaves to debt? These worldly spirits come to fulfill the lust of flesh. Debt devours the foundation of our families, communities and our physical well- being. We are driven to work long hours and for longer years. We are paying more but actually having less.  We give God nothing or we bring token gifts to the altar to tip God.
